Someone can from the factory and brought us the correct sashes and put them in. That was good. That guy was okay. There was no charge.

The experience was really bad. The product, I think was fine. The service was terrible. They had to come back three times to fix stuff. It was really bad, really bad, really bad. I had to write them a letter, I had to call them. I mean it was awful. They have a good product but the installation was terrible. The guy came and gave me the estimate. I wanted three windows replaced in the house. I looked up the product. I went to their office and looked at what was going to be installed. Everything looked good. I signed up for it and paid them half the money down. The other half to be paid when installed. This was in June and in September, they finally got around to installing after I called them. They finally came. They sent this guy out. He did not do anything right. First of all, the window frame got put in but he had the wrong sashes. Then he cracked one of our window sills. I wanted a new sill put in. He put it in but he cracked it. Then he got the siding messed up on the side of our house. I mean it was bad. I finally had to get a hold of the owner. When are you guys going to fix this, this is bad. The guy used a lot of bad language around the house.

I wanted to write a review of our experience with Window World. As of today March 24th, our order is still not completed. I had called their office, our salesman, and the operations manager numerous times and they either didn't return my calls or didn't know what the status was. It took them 3 months to schedule the installation for 2 days the week of December 26th. When they were finally out to do the installation, they scheduled 2 days and said that would be plenty of time. When they arrived, they discovered the windows they had ordered were all the wrong size! They had measured incorrectly! Needless to say, after waiting 3 months we were not happy. They came back the following day and installed our sliding glass door. Once our correct windows were in, it was too cold to install them for a couple weeks. Eventually they were scheduled for February 21-22. The windows were the correct size and they ended up installing 12 of our 14 windows. However, 4 of the windows had the wrong glass in them. You could clearly see it on the sticker that the glass was for the southern climate. I brought this to their attention. I'm sure if we hadn't said anything, they wouldn't have either and we would have the wrong glass. In the mean time, the installation lasted 4 days instead of the 2 they had promised and they didn't get the final two windows done. The crew had been saying all week that they would be easy because they wouldn't have to take any siding off (because they were basement windows). When they finally tried to install them, it had started raining and they said it was too wet. This was frustrating because they had left by 2:30-3 each day when it was really nice out. Seemed like that would've been the time to get those done until waiting until Friday when it was starting to rain, especially considering we had been waiting so long for the windows and there had been so many mistakes. To top everything off, some of the locks/latches in the windows aren't working great so they have to come back out and put new ones on. They still need to come install the correct glass in 4 of our windows. AND they offered us a window for free in my son's room that wasn't working correctly. They forgot to measure his window when they were here and didn't discover it until a month later. So this week we get a call that they need to come out and measure. Sorry this got so long. I wanted to share my detailed review so you can make an informed decision when you need to do work on your house. Next week will be 6 months since we placed our order and it's not looking like the job will be done by then.

We purchased windows and it took 8 weeks to get the windows. When they came to install them, they were WRONG. Not only were they the wrong type (pocket versus new construction) they were the cheaper ones when we had paid for the more expensive ones. They argued with us and told us they were right, when we could see the sticker on the window and had our copy of the contract. We had to stop our home from being sided in the middle of all of this. Their answer is, you will have to wait 2 more weeks for the windows to come in. The owner contacted us to review the issues and said she would work with us to get this resolved.

We had a Bay window installed in our house approximately 5 years ago, we had numerous issues with this window company, but we love the way it looks and are still very happy with it. We needed to replace a couple other windows in the kitchen and started looking to replace them with a bay window as well. I wanted the two bay windows to be the same or as close as possible, so against my better judgement, we went with the same company again. The estimate was done very timely, contractor was nice, prompt etc. When it came time to install the window, which he assured us would only take a half a day, he called and said his crew and quot;bailedand quot; on him, so we had to postpone the install for another week or so. He finally showed up to install it, help arrived later to lift the window in and all was proceeding very nicely. He was putting up the inner trim boards and cut one about 2 foot too short. So the job was not completed. It took him a week to drop off another trim board so I could stain it, and we are still waiting (3 weeks) for the job to be finished. I'm sure it will look great when it's done, but for now, we have a very ugly looking side to a potentially beautiful window. I realize this is a minor detail, but in my opinion, the company should have put the completion of one job at the top of the list before more were started. I called the installer and made a point of saying I was not going to pay for the window till it was complete so I would appreciate it being done very soon, as I was sure the billing cycle would be starting anytime. Don't get me wrong, I love my windows, they are beautiful, but I just don't think the company or installer handled the situation in a very timely manner. He is very nice, a hard worker and does great work, but I feel the whole thing could have been handled better. The trim board was put up and looks great, but a few other things still needed to be done beofre we could call the job finished. On September 21, the window was finally completed. The last tiny piece was put in place. All in all, the window is just what we wanted, looks great and I'm sure it will last, but the length of time it took to get to this point was a little beyond what we would have hoped.

I would rate them a B overall rating and I wouldn't not use them again. They just measured the windows, took forever to get the windows there, they had to come back three or four times to fix things and they broke two new windows but they did replace them. The windows were good its just that I had three or four different people doing the project but it got done so that was good.

I would highly not recommend them. They were awful. They ordered the wrong product and they were the wrong size. The had to redo the windows two times. They didn't meet any timelines. They wouldn't return my phone calls. It was a very bad experience.

Pleased with windows but at that time the installer was less than desirable. When he finally showed up (delay after delay) he brought his girlfriend, his buddy (and his girlfriend) and as far as I could determine only the 1 had any experience installing windows. I had to ask them to recaulk one window because I could have done a better job. They left for lunch and were gone a LONG time. They finally completed the job and I was thankful to see them leave my property. 6 years later a seal broke on one of the windows. I made a call to Window World and expected to get the run around (after my initial install experience) but was pleasantly surprised. They came out to inspect the window and about 2 weeks later the window was replaced. This experience redeemed my confidence in this Company. If they have found more professional installers I would not be afraid to use this Company. The ratings are based on my last experience with them, not the initial contact/work.

Everything went great. From the salesman, to the ordering of the windows, to the fixing of some problems, final installation, and accidental over-payment. For some reason the installer didn't have an updated invoice so I over paid. World of Windows called me and and said a check is being sent to me because I overpaid. The person at the business was great. We did bid with other companies and visited showrooms but they didn't call us back or had an inferior product. One major home improvement company on the north side of Cedar Falls acted like they were to good for us. We visited there showroom and they people seemed a little sure of themselves and to top it off nobody called us back until well after the Windows World Windows were installed. The crew from Michigan is the crew you want as your installation crew. Larry and the guys are great and do an awesome job. So far these windows are working better than our originals. I cool down the house at night to 73 and stays below 80 all day long on these hot days. Currently, I can't find any negative at all about my experience with Window World---6/9/2011 What really is the icing on the cake is the windows are all paid for in FULL.. Yeah
