Oakwood Nursery & Flowers

We hired one of the co-owners to put together a landscape design/estimate for our backyard, with the intention of hiring Oakwood to do the work once desinged (let them know this upfront). I had to pay $50 upfront, and filled out a form describing what plants we liked, didn't like, our budget amount etc. Terry was polite and punctual when he came to our house to measure and sketch out the backyard. A few days later I received the layout plan-- it included many of the plants on our "don't like" list, and went way over budget. I dont' think he even reviewed the paper I was asked to fill out. Never the less, I tried to work with Oakwood. I called and left messages for Terry three times. The fourth time I called, the woman on the line must have recognized my voice, and and said that she was the co-owner of the business and that she would help me. I explained to her that the landscape plan that we had done was more than what we could afford, but was wondering if we could work on modifying it, and then get started on the work. She rudely informed me that they were completely booked up for work this summer and that I would have to call next year to see if they were available. I ended up stuck with a design that was way over budge, included plants that we disliked, and no one to implement. Basically they just took my check. I have not given them my business since, nor will I ever.

We were satisfied. Their pricing was reasonable. We had to dig up some of the plants and replant them. We would probably use them again.
