Long's Allied installed a furnace for me on October 15, 2010. On October 22, 2011, a service man was there and inspected the furnace. It passed the inspection and "was good to go for the winter". On November 6, 2012, a service man from Long's was hired to again service the furnace for the upcoming winter. Again, the furnace passed. On Friday, November 9 a fire occured in the furnace. I contacted Long's who did come within a couple of hours. Upon inspecting the furance, the representative, who was the same guy that was there the previous Tuesday, said that the furnace fire was an "act of God". He would be able to install a new furnace the following Monday, but would have to have the insurance check prior to doing any work. Given that this was a two year old furnace, I contacted the local manufacturer representative, who suggested that I have a Bettendorf Heating and Air Conditioning look at the furance. They were there within a couple of hours and had a new one installed by noon the next morning; a Saturday. The old furnace was then forwarded to the manufacturer for inspection.
Description of Work: Long's installed a new furnace for me two years ago, October 15, 2010. I called them on November 9, 2012 as a fire had occured in the furnace.
