It went very well. The installer encountered a unexpected problem with the structure of the ceiling (a support beam was running through the center of the room) but was able to work through it fairly quickly. I was very pleased with the work that was done and would use them again for future projects.

Not always responsive to voicemails left but when you get through to a live person response is quick and efficient! The first time American Electric came out they were quick and did everything that was asked without leaving a mess. They showed up and work completed as promised. I unfortunately had them come out to upgrade wiring and install outlet for a sump pump. All conduit was attached to the walls and I had to call them out to take everything down and reinstall which cost me an extra $500. This was no fault of theirs....I now realize I could've had the basement waterproofed first and then had the wiring done after saving me the extra money. This is nothing against American Electric...just putting it out there in case someone else has the same brilliant idea as myself! When the waterproofing company called me and said they couldn't put the plastic up on the walls because of all the conduit and the way it was run I contacted American Electric and they were out the very next day removing it from the walls so the basement waterproofing could be completed as scheduled! WOW! Even the waterproofing company was impressed at the timeliness of American Electric. When the waterproofing was complete I placed another call to American Electric (it actually took a couple-left a message with no return call and not the first time) and when I spoke with Erik he had someone back out to the house within 2 days to complete the work. I will definitely use this company again for any and all electrical work I need and would recommend them to anyone (and have)!

They are a good company, and they are professionals. I got a good deal there, and they did good work.
