 + -1 moreMr Rooter showed up and spent 3 hours augering on our kitchen sink drain that was draining very slow. The tech gave up and started instructing me to find where the drain line ran in the basement and start cutting inspection holes in the drywall ceiling and walls to cut into pipe in the basement. Left with sinks in kitchen both full and drain was then completely plugged. Charged me $320 to make my problem worse. I called Kruser Septic the next day. They showed up and used a small jet and within 45 minutes the drain was running free and junk was completely blown out of the pipe. Total bill was $180 with 2 service techs on site.

 + 0 moreI had them leave with the intent of getting someone else to resolve my issues. I checked around and found KRUSER Septic service highly recommended. Troy showed up and with in 1/2 hr he had my drain water jetted and draining freely.. The best part. His service only cost $140. And I got much better results than the $400 job Mr Rooter had done.
Description of Work: I contacted Mr Rooter for slow drain issues. The tried the same things I had done the night before- Auger 2 locations. Could not get blockage free. Charged me $400 for nothing more than I did the night before. Mr rooter Tried up selling a water jetting service for $500 with NO GUARANTEE it would work. Either way it was gonna cost me an additional $500. I refused to give them anymore money. Like I said it was already at $400 for drains that were still clogged. and they were asking for an additional $500 with no guarantee!

Description of Work: Responded quickly to our needs. They assessed and installed a new water heater with in 24 hours of our call. They were professional and explained our options without pressuring.  + 0 moreMike and John showed up exactly when they said they would. They were friendly and professional. They gave us recommendations and helpful tips to avoid future problems. The price may not have been the cheapest but they did a great job and I trust them. They give you the price before they do the work so you are not surprised by the bill at the end. I would definitely recommend this company for any sewer problems.
Description of Work: Mr. Rooter had to use a high pressure clean to clear a blockage in our main sewer line.

They responded to all questions, offered helpful suggestions, encouraged me to watch their progress in cleaning out the lines in the house and while repairing the line, and did not add on charges to the bill. The flushing of the sewer line was approx $500 The repair of broken sewer pipe in the street was approx $15000
Description of Work: I threw a load of clothes in the basement washer in the evening and heard a gurgling in the kitchen sink. Went back downstairs o find water backed up on the floor. Called Mr Rooter and they sent 2 men out the next morning. They quoted me a price to clean out the backed up sewer line. This price included a camera in the line, all equipment and their time. After much work, they hit solid mud, indicating a collapsed sewer line. They phoned their boss. While waiting for him to arrive, they went into the backyard and worked to locate the sewer line and approximate location of busted pipe. During all of this time these guys were super polite, informative, and considerate of my house. As it turned out the broken pipe was in the city street which necessitated an excavation company to repair the pipe. This took about a week to get estimates, locations from various utilities and time for me to borrow money. The day of the street excavation, Mr Rooter's plumber arrived about an hour after the excavation guys had started digging up the street. They still had to dig down 12' to locate the pipe. He replaced cleaned out the ends of the mud clogged pipe, replaced with new, ran the camera down the line again, and then finished up with the rooter tool to make sure the line was completely open. Throughout this whole process the plumber kept me informed of what was happening and was gonna happen. I

Description of Work: I got estimates from 3 plumbing companies all of them recommended by a contractor that knows the quality of work they provide. The estimate from Mr. Rooter was over twice the price of the lowest estimate. I did end up going with the lowest estimate know that the company I went with was qualified in providing a quality job. I saved over $600!

After not having been able to get reasonable estimates from most of the plumbers and not being able to get the one plumber who was reasonable to call me back to schedule the work I called Mr. Rooter. They were able to come out a couple days later and gave me a very reasonable estimate right there while they were there. I told him I wanted to schedule the work to be done so he called his office and they were able to do it the very next day. They came out, did the work, the inspector came, said it looked good to him, and that was all there was to it. They were very nice guys, cleaned up after themselves, arrived when they said they were going to, and finished before they said they would. I wouldn't hesitate to call them back.
Description of Work: They moved the water line and gas line to my washer and dryer. They set up the plumbing for a utility sink. They repaired a hole in my main stack.

He assessed the problem and instructed us on how to repair the issue ourselves in addition to writing a quote for the work that was required. We felt that the quote was rather high, but the free advise was appreciated and his instructions to complete the work ourselves was spot on. We'd have happily paid for a service call but we weren't even charged for that!

 + -1 moreCalled for an estimate, was told the owner was out for a week and would call me back. They never called me back. If I cannot get good service for a simple call back, how can I expect it for the actual work? Customer service matters. There are plenty of other plumbers out there whom I can call and probably get the same lousy customer service.

 + 0 moreMark arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. He was VERY friendly and professional. I showed him the toilet which had been clogged for months and did not respond to any of our home treatments. Mark immediately diagnosed the problem and had it unclogged in no-time. He then explained in detail how to keep the problem from happening again. As a bonus, he showed me how I could fix a leaky toilet that I have downstairs. He told me exactly what to buy and how to perform the repair free of charge, and told me to call him if I had any problems. The price charged was about what I expected and average for a plumber visit (about $100). Overall I was very impressed with his friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism and would definitely recommend him to others.
