We recently had 18 windows and a sliding door replaced and couldn’t be happier with the quality and craftsmanship. After months of research to find the company we would use to replace our windows we were 100% pleased with our experience with Zen Windows from start to finish. Brian and his son were very prompt and experienced installers. They answered all our questions and made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Rachel handled our trim for all windows and we actually loved the new ones much more than our old ones ! She did an amazing job. You can see the craftsmanship in her work. Our house looks amazing and we 100% recommend Zen Windows and would definitely use them again if needed.

I couldn't have found a better company to replace my old windows. Some are not square because of the age of my home and the Zen team, Brent and Hunter, took their time with each window, making them look beautiful inside and out. The amount I paid was what the original estimate was, so no surprises. The place is cleaner after they left than it was before! The installers were really nice guys to boot. A great company to work with!

I got new Zen windows last year. I am so glad I did! My house feels warmer and my house is easier to heat, so important now with the higher energy costs. And the windows look great! I couldn't have done my window replacement at a better time or with a better company. I am so pleased!

From the start Matt and Alix were personable and easy to work with. Matt was quick to give us an online quote and informed us immediately about the long wait on orders because of the pandemic. We already knew this talking to our window companies. In comparison their prices are very competitive. When the window finally came in, Rachel the scheduler worked with us to find a convenient time for installation because we lived 3 and a half hours away from the place that was getting a new window. A couple of days before the scheduled installation she informed us of weather that may occur that day. She kept in touch up until the day of the installation to see if we even needed to come down or if we should reschedule. Luckily, everything worked out! Brent and his crew were great as well. They were very professional and friendly. From answering any questions we had, putting down carpet coverings from the door to the window being installed, the installation itself, talking through what they did, getting rid of the debris and cleaning up after. The finished product is absolutely stunning! We got the Soft-Lite wood grain vinyl case window. If you didn’t know it you wouldn’t even realize it isn’t wood! Very happy with Zen Windows and will refer to anyone in need of windows.

Matt was incredibly helpful despite the fact that Zen Windows doesn't do the kind of broken glass repair I needed. After hearing my confusion about how to fix the original cause of the broken window, Matt offered the help he could offer. He recommended glass repair shops for the pane and then taught me how to fix my own windows! He invited me to send him pictures of my windows and he taught me how to unlock the pivot shoe and remove the pin, pointed me towards the specific parts online (only $20), and empowered me to take care of my other windows that had ceased functioning. He was generous with his time and knowledge and I'm incredibly grateful.

This was a really good company to work with. The cost was very reasonable, they were on time, they cleaned up after installation. Brenda and Dan were so easy to work with. I would highly recommend this company.

We had a garden window that was completely rotten. It was not visible until they started pulling out the old windows. They ended up rebuiding the wall and then installed the windows. The job definately incurred more expense but they did not charge us more. They honored their original quote! How awesome is that!

They were on time, installed the 7 windows on my home in a day, and cleaned up inside and outside as part of the job. I am very happy with the service and the windows.

From getting a quote to the installation, the experience was enjoyable and not stressful, as some contractor jobs can be.

They arrived when they said they would and got right to work. Only took them about 6 1/2 hours and that was only because there was a little issue with one of the windows - weird construction. Very professional crew and we're especially impressed with Brian, who really knows his stuff! The new windows actually help block summer heat. We love our new windows and door and will use Zen Windows again!

The process was painless and easy. There were no high-pressure salespeople to deal with. We went online, told what we wanted, and ZEN sent us the quotes we needed. Alix and Matt were incredibly patient working with us. We had lots of questions and weren't exactly sure what we wanted. They worked through the process with us and helped throughout. Once everything was decided, the windows were ordered. Mind you, this was during the covid-19 shut-down but after 6 or so weeks, we got a call the windows were ready to be installed. Their ace installation team called (Dan and Brenda) everything was scheduled when we had a death in the family. We called and with great understanding, Matt and their team rescheduled the installation for a week later. Dan and Brenda were artists in their installation. They knew their installation process exactly - and what to do and when to do it. We are still amazed. They were a perfect team. We are so thankful for their calming presence as they worked and made jokes along the installation process (our family was on edge after the death of a close family member). They were promptly on time and there when they said they would be there. They cleaned up everything along the way. And they even cleaned the windows they installed. My 2 kids (8 & 4) loved having them around and we were all sad to see them go when they finished. I highly recommend Zen Windows to everyone looking for quality window replacements. As I said before, the process was easy and now we have quality windows that look beautiful throughout the home. Thank you Zen Windows!!!

Matt, Alix, Brian and the entire team at Zen are amazing. Top quality install, top notch customer service, and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Every question I had was answered promptly and thoroughly. They really make you feel comfortable with the entire process. Based on quotes I received elsewhere, I thought Zen was “too good to be true” with their quote and promises. Turns out it was even better than advertised, and zero pressure involved. Just outstanding all the way around!

We started by only have 5 windows replaced. After that experience we called right back and said measure the rest it was that good of an experience. Did this in June and September. Initially we were loving the windows. Currently I am not only loving them but I appreciate them. Our furnace broke and our house has stayed consistently cold but not frigid and I account MUCH of that to these windows and the excellent installation. Thanks to Matt, Alix and Brian. They really maintain their promise of no surprises. They had an issue with removing the old windows that took extra time and materials and refused to take any extra money for this extra work. The installer was exceptional. A real professional finish carpenter.

I would recommend Zen Windows to my family and friends! Everyone was so nice and answered any of my questions. Rob and his worker were very nice and took care of cleaning up after their work was done, enjoyed them as very friendly and did excellent work. Zen Windows exceeded my expectations. From theOwner(salesman) to the installer it was really quite painless. Hated the thought of contacting window companies to get a quote. Talked to Matt and all I had to do was take photos of my house and send them to his office. He looks at the pictures and then gives you a quote for different windows(double pane vs triple pane, Low E, ect.) Sends brochure to you so you can get more info on the windows. If you decide they have what you want you contact them and make the deal. No hard sell tactics, up front price and if you do not make changes what he quotes in the beginning is the price in the end. If you have questions they are super great at getting back to you with answers. The installer (Brian) does a fantastis job and is excellent in his craft. Great product, Good service.Great warranty (Lifetime warranty and tranferable). Would definitely do business with Matt and Zen windows of Des Moines again!!

From quote to installation the process was painless, didn't have to listen to pushy salesman and price was reasonable.

Zen Windows did an awesome job, and the entire experience was hassle free! No sales pitch trying to convince me to go with their most expensive window options, but willing to answer questions and make sure I could make an informed decision. Most important to me, Zen Windows is great about communicating what the next steps are and when to expect them. I never had to reach out to ask what was happening in the process.

I did a lot of research and had 2 other companies come give us an estimate for replacement of all our windows. Zen was right there with another company in price, but we chose Zen based off the reviews we read, as well as how great the process was, no one in my home trying to sell me windows, just an upfront no pressure way of doing things. I have to say, now that the windows are installed, I absolutely love them, Brian did an amazing job of installing and everyone was easy to work with. Love supporting a local small business as well! We're very happy with our Zen windows. Customer service was beyond expectations. We had multiple questions after having a poor experience with another company and they answered promptly and accurately. The installers were top notch and left everything clean and tidy. Window quality is everything we asked for. We did the full frame replacement and they matched the color of our oak trim perfectly. No hesitation in recommending Zen Windows.
