Tidy Pool & Spa

I emailed and received a quick response. A time was arranged for them to come over and look at hot tub. He said he could find and repair leak and planned on coming out the next day. He came out and said he needed to order a part and came back in a few days to fix it. The first time he thought he fixed it and we noticed right away it was still losing water. He then said he had to order another part and came back about a week later to repair and said it was fixed. We paid him approximately $450 for the repairs. He left the hot tub uncovered and it still leaks. When they took off the cover they broke it (it wasnt in great shape to begin with but still covered the hot tub). Now the tub is mostly empty and filthy. They seemed like nice enough guys but we were told they could fix it and they couldnt.

My Hot Tub had been losing water, called Tim and he came out the next day, diagnosed the issue and fixed it at a reasonable cost. I suspected it wasnt going to be a major issue, and it wasnt. I didnt want to mess around with it since my tub is outside on my deck and the temperature was in the teens. Tim had no problem with that and made sure everything was fine before he left.

Impressed with turn around time. Called on a Monday; he came the next day at the time he said he would. I have never drained my hot tub and then had it winterized by a professional before, so I can't speak to the normal cost of this service. I would contact again if I had issues.

This is our first season with an outdoor pool. We moved into the house in the fall and only had time to winterize the pool without knowing how it would look this spring. Upon reopening the pool for the summer we were having issues balancing chemicals and getting the water clear. We contacted Tidy Pool and initially had some issues coordinating with them. It turns out that is due to their workload and the fact that this is a typical small business with only a couple of employees. Once we were able to coordinate an appointment they came out to look at the pool, diagnose the issues (our filter sand needed replaced- 300 lbs of sand- and some gauges and seals needed replacement too), then returned two days later and completed the work in about 90 minutes. The filter is already running better and for the type of work that needed done I would say the cost was more than fair. The guys are also very courteous and left us with solid advice for keeping the pool maintained. I would highly recommend these guys to do pool repair/maintenance work. Keep in mind they are likely very busy during the summer and fall, so if you cannot connect with them right away keep trying. All in all we were able to get them out to us within a week of our first call to them. I would rather work with someone that busy who is doing a good job than have a lower quality job done a couple of days sooner.

I had contacted Tim previously, received a bid of $250, and just not gotten around to scheduling the removal of the hot tub. After clearing all the other stuff out of the way it was time for the old girl to go. Tub worked just fine and it was a selling point when we bought the property, but after surgery, I am not able to get in that hot water, so moving on. Tim asked if he could come get it today, I said sure, I would be home later in the afternoon. He and his helper had the tub disconnected and out in no time. They swept out the three season room, took the chemicals with them so I did not have to dispose of them, and now the tub is for sale at their place. I was thrilled to get such fast service and happy that it may find a new home, for someone else to enjoy!

Had been trying to get pool cleared and clean for a month working with central iowa pools. They were not helpful and we paid them to open the pool and get it running and they never even checked the filter sand. Couldn't get he water clean. Tim from tidy pool immediately checked the filter sand and everything got better from there.

He does pool and spas. I use him for pool service. He knows what he is doing. He doesn't expect payment right away; he sends you a bill. I had a lot of different service guys out since. He saved my pool. He is wonderful.
