Never returned phone calls after telling me he would do the job. Work was never performed by him. Poor communicator and not professional.

Mike did a phenomenal job - he was the first person to call me back from my list, and from the first time we spoke he was easy to talk with and straightforward. He picked up the carpet for me from Menards (even picking up an extra roll of carpet and pad for a room that I'll be doing in a month or so), and made the whole process super easy. Even though I hadn't been able to move the furniture much out of the way (my desk was still partially blocking the doorway), he and his partner worked around everything with no complaints. The carpet was laid perfectly, and it looks fantastic. He was friendly and personable, and even though I had him replace extra tack strip that wasn't anticipated, didn't charge any extra. When my cats wiggled their way into my study again and peed on my new carpet (anyone want a free cat?!), I found out just what a great job they had done - I had to peel up a corner to make sure I got everything cleaned up, and found that the carpet was perfectly stretched and they had done a great job of cutting it so that there was the perfect amount under the baseboard, rather than cutting it TO the baseboard as some do. The only negative was that while he originally said he'd be there in the morning, his other measurements took longer than he thought and he didn't get there until around 1 - not a big deal for me, as I told him that I was very flexible on time. He did, however, call me as he was leaving Menards so that I had a good idea of when he'd be there, and the whole process was actually quicker than I'd anticipated. I will definitely be using Stretch Flooring again, and would highly recommend Mike Nieland.

I had called for a quote a couple of months before. I was going to keep looking for an installer as I was trying to keep my price down. I called Mike on Weds. and he was available the next week. He came exactly as promised. He did excellent work trimming out the carpets and going up the stairs. The vinyl was cut perfectly around doors and pipes and you could not see any seams. He cleaned up the carpet pretty well and threw all the scraps away for me. I was happy that the price was exactly as he quoted -- except for a couple of extras (moving a refrigerator and stove and the price for prepping the floor for the vinyl and metal transition strips.) But these were definitely still within reason.
