+ 0 moreIn this housing market, I guess I wasn't too surprised that my house appraised for less than I had paid for it. It's an older home that needs work. So I was very pleased to find Mr. Wright who helped me look at my situation and systematically make a few changes/repairs that allowed me to sell for a better price.
Description of Work: Mr. Wright is a real estate agent. He was very helpful in helping me get an appraisal and then telling me what things needed to be repaired or changed about my house so I could sell it for a better price. He also helped with some of the labor himself or helped me find good people to help with the labor. He did not charge me anything for his labor. When my house sold, he collected a 6% commission. Even after paying his commission, I made more than I thought I would.

+ -1 moreI searched for the house I wanted and had no luck. Then Mr. Wright helped me find the perfect one. It needed some repair, and after I bought it Mr. Wright helped me get the house in shape to move in. I can not imagine I now have a beautiful house at a price I could actually afford. I didn't walk into the repairs blind. I obtained three estimates on each job, and Mr. Wright came in about a third lower than the other two. He is a very kind and capable man. I will call only him in the future if I need more work done...or (I don't think it will ever happen) if I decide to move away from this lovely home.
Description of Work: Mr. Wright is a real estate broker. First, he helped me get the house of my dreams for a nice price. Then he turned into a contractor and helped replace the roof, lay flooring, install some windows, and paint.
