+ -1 moreStarted out there were 3 guys working, then another guy showed up. They worked from 9-6, and took a lunch break. Throughout the entire day, they asked questions and checked in with us. They were the most reasonable of all the estimates and very friendly and knowledgeable. They cleaned up and hauled everything away. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Trimmed small trees, evergreens, and 3 large trees and lots of brush along our fence line.

+ -1 moreRod arrived on a Friday morning and unloaded a motorized extendable boom with a cage on its end for the person to stand in. The entire thing was less than four feet wide when folded in and ran on rubberized tank treads. It was the perfect piece of equipment to squeeze into our backyard between a gap in our fence, and it extended up to 60' high! Rod and one helper (Jerry) had all three trees down and cut up by 3:00 in the afternoon and did a fantastic job. We asked them to leave a lot of the wood for our wood burning stove, and they stacked up the logs where we asked. We highly recommend using Rod and Top Notch Tree Care for any tree trimming or removal. They are highly experienced and have the right equipment for really difficult jobs.
Description of Work: Rod Meek of Top Notch Tree Care provided us with a competitive bid to remove three large trees from our backyard, one of which was leaning over our house. One was 40 feet tall, one 60 feet and one over 70 feet. Needless to say, this was a big job requiring specialized equipment.

Description of Work: We had our ash tree treated to prevent it from the ash tree borers that are nearing Des Moines. Billy was very knowledgeable, prompt and pleasant. We plan to use him again to trim our trees.

Description of Work: We didn't personally use this service but our neighbor did(we share a driveway) and the guys were fast, respectful,effecient and very polite. We needed to drive out and they apologized that their truck was in the way and moved it immediately.

Description of Work: I had a very large Linden tree (~90-100ft) dropped and brush removed for 2200.00. They left the larger pieces (manageable by me) at my request. They came, got the job done, cleaned up and left in ~5 hours. Rod and his crew knew what they were doing so I was never worried about a tree becoming a center piece in my house.

+ -1 moreThe tree to be trimmed is very large. The contractor did a great job of shaping the tree and selectively thinning the branches to allow more air flow and hopefully reduce potential for wind damage.
Description of Work: Trimming existing tree to improve appearance and health of tree. Earlier in the year I had the same contractor remove about eight trees. The earlier work was also excellent in all categories which is why I asked them back to do some trimming.
