+ -1 moreExcellent! We recently moved to Iowa, the tub spout in guest bathroom needed replacement. The handyman I hired made mess left the job unfinished after making excuse. I called Richardson plumbing and he was very prompt in response. Unlike other companies, his service call price was very reasonable. He was right on time and after quick look it turns out that handyman I hired had broke the copper pipe, Richard could have made this big project but instead he used his expertise and was able to fix the problem within standard service call without charging m any extra.

+ -1 moreI just didn't think it would be necessary to have all this work done. I thought he would just lay a pipe where the original one was. But he did all this stuff a foot and a half away from the original one. Then he was outside of my little closet where all the pipes are.
Description of Work: I didn't turn the water faucet off by the backdoor that you attach a hose to, and I walked in the evening before and saw that the decorative hummingbird faucet had popped off. No water was coming out - it was frozen. The next morning, my neighbor heard something gushing and saw there was water running down my driveway. There was 2 inches of water in my basement. I talked to my neighbor and she recommended Richardson Plumbing to me. He came out and looked at the faucet - the copper line went straight down the cement past the stoop and into the basement and came in under the stairwell where there was a turn-off valve. I thought it would be an easy job. I wasn't watching everything he was doing. He drilled a hole by the shut off valve and removed the ceiling tiles. He said he had to have a faucet that was different and one with a long stem. He ordered a Woodford Model 19 x 12 inch faucet and 5 feet of half-inch copper pipe, 1 half inch full port ball valve, 3/4" clamp copper, 5 1/2" copper fittings, torch flux solder rags and sand paper. He charged for the labor to cut off the water, plus the drilling and hammering through brick for the future faucet.

gas leak repair
+ -1 moreAgain, it was an excellent referral and I can't thank John enough for being so professional to find a solution to my problem and trustworthy/spot-on in who he recommended. I will call John in the future as he has earned my trust.
Description of Work: I called Richardson Plumbing as he had received an A rating on Angie's List. I had 2 gas leaks that I needed repaired the next day in order for our gas (and heat) to be turned back on. John answered, was very professional and polite. He said he hated to pass up the business but he was booked until 5pm the next day. He mentioned he had someone he really trusted he could refer me to. I took the name/number and had a fantastic experience with his referral. I thought it was amazing he recommended someone he trusted as he was unable to fit this job in (understandibly as it took almost 3 hours to complete). Excellent customer service and again, a very good referral.

John is a complete professional and does quality work. He is honest and charges a fair price for the work he does. I will continue to use Richardson Plumbing in the future.
