RENAISSANCE PAINTING

While an approachable and eager fellow, the skill level displayed, and the quality of the work and materials, are sub-par. I would not re-hire Renaissance, neither would I recommend them. When I got a bid at half what others bid, I should have recognized that it was too good an offer to be quality work. Now I’ve been delayedmoving by two weeks due to having to have Renaissance return for repainting in every part of the house, and the repairs were of such poor quality that I am no going to have to hire someone else or just do it myself. I am out of a lot of money, and so very disappointed, and stuck with a bad paint job. I had to constantly ask where he was when he promised to be on-site working. Amateurish work at best. Avoid. The addage, "You get what you pay for" was sadly true in my experience.

Patrick came first with an estimate and then we set up the date to do the work. On the date agreed upon he came with one other worker and did half the job on the first day and finished the job on the next. This was EXACTLY how I wanted the job to go. He was professional and courteous and brought to my attention little things which would enhance the look of the windows. He also gave me a discount of $120. for windows he could not paint because of the age & condition of them. I would rate the overall job as an A-.. I would use him & his company again for painting needs and recommend his company to anyone. Thank you Renaissance Painting!

The contractor that came did a good job but he didn't finish the job. He left the job hanging. We keep contacting him but we can't get a hold of him. Overall I’m not satisfied on the service that he provided.

There are no national painters in my area. Renaissance Painting did a good job on the interior but, the exterior paint didn't match and they never came back to fix that. Their prices were good.

I was generally satisfied. However, the paint came off the porch floor. They came out and repainted it, although I am not sure that the peeling was their fault. It was a disappointing situation, but they were responsive and repainted the floor to my satisfaction.

I took 4 bids on this project, three of which were approximately the same. What sold me on Renaissance was their flexibility and willingness to adapt to my needs. Other painters insisted on using oil-based primer, which was a no-no for me due to allergies. Renaissance agreed to try latex primer and did research to determine the best latex primer to use and how to use it. They were very thorough and did several wood replacement projects to prepare surfaces for painting. They were useful not just in the technical aspects of painting but also for choice of colors -- we were using 3 different paint colors and had to decide what features to paint in each color. At every step, they kept me informed of what was going on and what options I had.

This company is great to work with! Patrick Dempsey returns calls promptly. In this case, there was a delay because he was out of town, which he apologized for when he called. Even being out of town, his returned call was sooner than most of the other painters that I had contacted. He was very pleasant and professional to work with. He came out to do the work himself, with one other person. They were very patient and supportive when I determined partway through the job that the color was not right. Patrick listened to what I had wanted in a color, and helped me to find the perfect color. They were very efficient and neat in their painting, and they cleaned up the area thoroughly. The area had many obstacles and cream colored carpet on the floor, yet there was no paint on areas that should not have paint. I would highly recommend this company again.

This company is GREAT! The owner returned my initial call promptly. We scheduled the job ahead of time, and they started the work exactly when they said they would. The team had great attention to detail, and were very flexible when I changed my mind about the color, giving me great advice and support. It felt like I had a team working with me to get an important job done. They were courteous, respectful and professional. They worked hard, and finished the job on time. This is the second time that I have worked with this company. I would highly recommend them, and would work with them again.
