Description of Work: Orlando has closed my pool twice and opened my pool once. I found him when I dropped my last pool company for bad service. Nice guy, does a good job and does what he says he will. Glad I found him. I believe I will have a larger pool need (repair) needed in the spring and I plan on trying him out on that as well.

Description of Work: I contacted him earlier in the year looking for someone to assist in assembling my swimming pool so that we'd be ready to go in the spring time. He said that he was busy on a couple large projects, but expected to be available on Oct 1st to do the work. I then followed up with him on Oct 3rd to see if he was still available, and it took 3 attempts but he finally replied saying that he would be available at the end of the month, running a little behind on his projects. I then asked if I could get an estimate of time/cost for the work, and he didn't reply. Followed up again on Oct 13th, and he confirmed an hourly rate but said that he needed to research further to get an estimate of the number of hours he expected. Followed up again Oct 24th, no reply. Oct 27th another request and no reply. Oct 28th he finally replied that he was almost done with his current project, but hadn't researched my pool install yet (more than 3 weeks after I had asked).. Then the replies just ceased. I tried on Oct 29th, Nov 2nd, 3rd, 5th.. Both voicemails and text messages went unanswered.. finally gave up and called a different contractor to do the work, but unfortunately at that point the temperatures had dropped to where they could not do the install until spring, leaving me with a $9000 swimming pool sitting on 3 pallets throughout winter with no way to get installed until the ground thaws.. This company's phone slogan "reliable pools, where you can rely on us" clearly is inaccurate.. If he didn't want the job or felt that he couldn't do it, he should have said so right up front rather than stringing us along for 2 months before just ceasing responses totally.

+ -1 moreAfter having Orlando, do previous work at my pool, I thought I'd give him a shot at bidding some extensive pool work that was needed. It took some time, but he finally showed up several hours later. Orlando knew what he was talking about and I was excited to get moving with the work. However, after promising me a bid within days, I never heard a peep. I've emailed and called numerous times to no avail. I can understand if some is too busy for the work, but please give me the courtesy of telling me so. Unfortunately, at this point, I'm not sure if I would utilize his services because of his extreme lack of communication. Hopefully he can turn this around.
Description of Work: Looked at my pool an promised to provide me with an estimate for the work needed.

+ -1 moreOrlando called promptly on the initially scheduled day of my closing to let me know that because of the rain, his earlier job with concrete work was taking longer than expected and he wanted to postpone my closing to the next afternoon. The next day, Orlando and another gentlemen showed up as promised and immediately went to work on my pool. They drained and blew out the plumbing and equipment, filled with antifreeze, installed plugs, treated the pool water, and installed the winter cover. They worked furiously and were finished in 75 minutes. He charged time and materials, which ended up being significantly less expensive than the itemized quote I had from another company. This was my first year owning a pool and Orlando took the time to answer my questions, explain what they were doing, and point out things that could help me extend the life of my equipment. All without trying to sell me additional products or services. Even with my relative inexperience, I had learned a lot from the internet and knowledgeable personal aquaintances over the summer, and it was clear that Orlando knows his stuff. And he's personable and friendly to boot.

+ -1 moreOrlando Dominguez and his crew correctly diagnosed the problem. This took a few days to methodically eliminate possible leak sources. He tried to make a small hole in the pool deck to get at skimmer and outlet fittings. Tested each for possible. Ended up cutting the entire deck. Bypassed old abs plumbing and installed new PVC. They were here 3 days plus a weekend. While the deck was open he even added a pool light. Looks awesome. Each night Orlando and his crew cleaned up there work are and put their tools away. He was respectful of our privacy and property. I am very pleased with his work and his professionalism. This young man has a bright future.
Description of Work: I had a major leak in my pool.
