Reached out to this provider to potentially repair a dryer (Maytag) and dishwasher (LG). They indicated they could not work on LG products and referred me promptly to someone who could. Very professional.

We called them to look at both the refrigerator and washer. They replaced a part on the refrigerator but it was not the correct part. The repairman treated me like I was stupid and would not discuss the repair in any detail. The refrigerator/freezer had the same problem a few months later but they would not stand behind their work. The washer shook badly during the spin cycle. They insisted it did not shake for them but they did not put it into the spin cycle. We went back and forth about what they should do but they would not look at it a second time, insisting that there was nothing wrong with it. It was not fixable by the time we got someone else out to look at it. We used this company for many years but we will never use them again.

They were prompt, showing up in the time frame when they said they would, got the part by the next day and again came exactly when they said they would. The technician was friendly, courteous, and explained in terms I could understand what was wrong. He left the old part (as I think is good practice to do). The repair fixed the problem. No lingering issues or questions.

My 30 year old gas range quit working so we purchased a new one from Sears, but Sears does not install in our area. Spoke to Tim at Metro Appliance and agreed on a schedule for them to come and disconnect the old appliance and then return to reconnect the new. Tim only charged me one service call for the two trips. Our house is 75 years old and the connection on the gas line in the kitchen did not work with the connection on the new flex line, so Tim put a new nipple on the pipe. Both Tim and the tech who did the disconnect were personable, professional, and courteous. I would definitely contact Metro Appliance again.

I was very pleased with the service. I called on Wednesday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The technician called on Thursday to ask if he could come a little early, which worked great for me. He came within about 15 minutes of his phone call. He looked at the washing machine and assessed the problem quickly. He explained the issue and gave me an estimate for how much a full repair would cost. When I explained that I didn't think the repair would be worth it, he told me about used appliances sold at the store, but he was not pushy. He also a gave me some advice for how to deal with the issue if it happened again before I purchased a new machine. I would call Metro Appliance again for repair services, and we also plan to look there for a new machine.

The service call was the majority of the cost. |The first person who came out was awesome. He identified what parts were needed and then called into the shop to order them. Then I had to reschedule having the parts installed. The second person who came out didn't have the right part and wasn't as professional as the first person. He was able to "make due" as he stated, which made me a little unsure of what exactly he did if he didn't have the part needed. That's the main reason for the B rating.

charged $59.00 for service call. 25.00 for labor. 68.00 for part. Left after 15 min.to get part. After he returned, he was here less then an hour for total repair.

He was able to determine that it was low on Freon and helped be weigh the pros and cons of repairing or just purchasing a new fridge.

Josh was prompt, personable and chatty. He said that most of the time the dishwasher just needed to be cleaned, which he did.

Tech did a nice job. He did not replace anything, but went through the system and made it work properly.

My refrigerator stopped cooling. I called Metro and they squeezed me in the same day. The technician came on time, took a look and suggested trying the relay first since replacing a compressor would be very expensive. A short time later, he had the relay replaced and the refrigerator working great. Throughout the experience, everyone was polite and professional.

Excellent. Both Tim and Josh came to the house. Very friendly, called ahead of time and fixed both the dryer and ice maker. All charges were straight forward and minimal. Will use Metro Appliance for all future appliance repairs!

The technician came three days in a row, and replaced two different parts, but in the end did not know what the problem was. Suggested I purchase a new appliance.

Tim called ahead of time and came out a little earlier than the scheduled time. He was very polite and professional. Our refrigerator has an ice and water dispenser that had quit working due to a leak. He was afraid he might no be able to gain access to where the leak was coming from, but took the time and was able to find the part of the tubing that was leaking and repair it. He was very honest and told me, part of the tubing he couldn't get to was rough and he wasn't sure how long it would last. He told me to keep my eyes on it and it it started leaking to stop using the water dispenser. My refrigerator is quite old so appreciate he was able to fix it.

Tyler called and said he was running late, had to get gas. He arrive 30 mins late. He evaluated the problem quickly, replaced the Coupling and tested the machine. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Overall everything went surprisingly GREAT ! He called ahed of time to make sure that I was at home, he came right at his scheduled appointment time. He asked some questions as to what the refrigerator was doing, not doing..he started to take it apart to make sure that what he thought was the problem was it, and it was just what he thought was wrong with it. He knew he didn't have that particular part, he called the warehouse they had the part.. He went and got it and was gone maybe 40 minutes, came back put the new part on, made sure that it was working properly and put everything back together. He was very polite, introduced himself, he acted in a very professional manner, was friendly, answered all my questions, and explained how refrigerators work. I was VERY PLEASED with the repairman and his work and he had it all done within an hour or less. This guy deserves a STAR !!!

I called the company recommended by the serviceman and they quickly repaired the refrigerator by replacing a part.

When I called for my appt I was able to get next day service. The tech called in advance and arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem immediately and had the part on the truck. When he called for pricing on the part they told him a price that was higher than he remembered it being when he got the part. He ended up charging me the lower of the two prices which I thought was exceptional service. He had the part replaced within a few short minutes and was done. The service fee was very reasonable, probably less than most. Overall a great experience. My refrigerator is working perfect!

The person I spoke to on the telephone was able to advise me that I didn't need service. I appreciated that honesty -- they could have made a service call and charged for that and then told me I didn't need the service. But instead the man advised me on the phone and it cost me nothing. I would definitely call them again.

I called this company since they were listed for Maytag appliance repair. My issue was a need to replace broken front glass on the oven door. I feel I was given the run-around. I was given the name of a distributor to call to see if the part was available. When I called back and told them the part was available and would they order it and do the repair I was told the manager must be asked. I received a call back shortly after and was told I needed to contact a different company. I feel they did not want my business.

Tim determined the problem was the hose carrying water for the icemaker and filtered water in the door. Tim explained that the refrigerator design uses the wrong type of hose and runs it close to the heat source inside the refrigerator casing, where it eventually becomes brittle and where it cannot be replaced. He was able to find the section that was leaking within the lower rear of the refrigerator. He tried replacing a section of the hose, and it seemed to work. However, that evening it was leaking again. Tim returned the next day, replaced the section again using better connectors, and rigged things so that no pressure was being placed on the replacement section. He explained that if this did not work, the only alternative would be to shut off the water line. When he left, it was not leaking. However, that afternoon (Friday) it started leaking again whenever I used the water in the door. I was able to talk with Tim on the phone about next steps. He suggested that I figure out if the leak was occurring only when the water-in-the-door feature was used or if it leaked when the icemaker called for water. If the icemaker was not involved, he said he could turn off the mechanism for the water in the door and leave my icemaker working. Over the weekend, I experimented and determined that the icemaker was not involved. I called Tim on Monday, and on Wednesday he came and turned off the water in the door in time for a family Thanksgiving gathering, so that none of my guests would forget and use it. Tim was very helpful in explaining my options and returning multiple times to tweak things and get it right as much as possible. He did not charge me for the two subsequent trips. He was very professional, called me 15 minutes before arriving each time, showed up on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up when he was done. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

The technician from Metro found the trouble in less than a minute. The timer was stuck in defrost mode. He replaced the timer and was finished in less than 30 minutes. The refrigerator has been running fine ever since. I would definitely use Metro again and refer them to others.

Tyler showed up right at the promised time. Reviewed the situation. Found that the motor was overheating and would eventually fail. Suggested the cost to replace the motor would not be practical. New washer would make more sense. What my wife really appreciated was the fact that Tyler did not try to sell her on the motor replacement. Another company may have not done that,but replaced the motor without giving her the information , she needed, to make an educated judgement about replacement. Great service!
