The cable box I'd number was incorrectly changed. Because of this I lost cable for several days until I could get ahold of someone that could correct the mistake. Very frustrating.
Description of Work: Installed upgraded cable modem and upgraded cable box to include DVR service.

It went well. We decided to switch to using antenna tv versus cable tv, because of the high cost of cable tv. We did keep the internet service and use netflix. We took the cable box and remote to the office. The timing of the price reduction was different than what was quoted over the phone by customer service. It was one month later.

I have no other choice in my neighborhood and need Internet to work. I have used Mediacom for two years now and am consistently frustrated. Service interruptions, routing problems, pixalation on cable poor channel choice and ever increasing price.

I have been using Mediacom for at least 5 years. Their internet for the most part is reliable and their prices are competitive. They are hard to get out, but once you get an appointment they come out on time. The people that you talk to on the phone are an A, but the people who come to your house are like a C.

I have been using them for 8 months. It was not worth $20.00. They were 5-7 years behind. I would only use for the television dish. It was just behind the time. It goes out every week and the technology was behind.

The Mediacom technicians arrived and came and looked at my wiring. Thankfully, it took them only about 15 minutes to hook everything up. The were very friendly and professional. I have had absolutely no problems with my phone service. It can take a while to get someone on the line for technical support when you call them, but they are helpful when you do talk with someone. Mediacom has great prices on their services when you bundle them. I am paying only .99 for six months for my phone service. When it goes up to $29.99 a month in January, that rate is competitive with other phone providers. The cable is a great deal. I was paying nearly twice as much a month for satellite service. Satellite companies offer great introductory prices, but when the costs goes to its regular level, it's pretty expensive.
Description of Work: I needed to add phone service to my account. I called Mediacom and made an appointment for them to come out and install the necessary equipment for this, as I already use Mediacom for cable and Internet service.

Even contacting them via e-mail takes a long time to get a response, IF you get one at all. Sometimes you're told to call a different number, then it's the same old story...wait, and wait. They have a television ad advertizing their wonderful service, which always brings a laugh!
Description of Work: Mediacom provides, as a bundled service, telephone service, internet service and TV, Cable, I've had many problems with internet and phone service. It is nearly impossible to get through to Customer Services. I mean, literally hours can be spent before you finally reach a human being. (When your phone is out, along with the internet, it requires a trip to someone else's phone. a real inconvenience to even attempt to get customer service. Actually, "customer service" is an misnomer with this company, and they are out of service more frequently than would expect or anticipate.
