It went great. They did the tune-up and luckily had the part to fix it in their truck and gave me a good price for it. They were very quick. Being a new home-owner, I've had quite a few services performed in the past year and these guys were one of the best. Very professional and on-time. No nonsense. Got right to it, got it done and the whole thing was very pleasant!

I honestly can't imagine better service than I have received from Hicklin, last year when the new door was installed, or on Saturday night. A+!

I wasn't at home, but I had messaged Tom through the Angie's List app, and he got back to me really quickly, set up a time, and we were good to go. The staff was very informative, and I used the $45 credit coupon from Angie's List. If you need your garage fixed, I highly recommend using that since it pays for the travel charge AND part of the service fee. Where it would've been $110, is actually $65 thanks to AL! Love it! Would use this company in the future and of course, Angie's List

Very professional, very courteous, very punctial and reasonably priced for the quality of workmanship. I would highly recommend Joe for any contractor work. He removed all the old wiring and panels and had the new opener up and running in about 40 mins. Oustanding work!

The repair tech (Eric) was polite, professional and up-front. He quickly diagnosed the issues. Once we decided to replace the opener with a new one, he did so quickly and efficiently. No hidden charges. He also waived the service call fee which we appreciated. I gave a "B" grade for price because my analysis of installation costs for new openers in our area showed the price we paid was a bit on the high side--but not abnormally high. I was still happy overall though. The speed, efficiency and quality of Hicklin's response and work was definitely worth something to me too, so in the end the slightly high cost was likely money well spent.

Made recommendations and provided the pro/cons of options. Work was done timely and well. Door works perfectly.

In late November I came home at lunch to a garage door that wouldn't open. The opener tried, but it had broken a spring. I checked Angie's list to find a reputable Company that I could call to fix my door. I called Hicklin, and the same afternoon Eric showed up and went to work. Before starting any work, he explained the problem and the steps needed to fix it. After replacing the spring system, the opener would grind and not lift. Eric demonstrated this and provided me with opener replacement options. At no time was there any pressure to upgrade to a higher priced opener, he just provided me with the options and cost and let me decide. I opted with a higher priced opener for the extra features, not due to any up-sale pressure. I appreciated the professionalism, promptness and speed of repairs. Everything was working by dinner and works better than the original over a month later! I highly recommend this Company. As demonstrated by the other reviewers, they are reliable and professional. I highly recommend and will call them again should trouble arise.

On Friday, December 25, 2015, a cable on our double garage door broke, only 18 months after it had been replaced. Merry Christmas! Since our original installer (Overhead Door) didn't provide emergency service, I figured it would by 72 hours before I could even schedule a repair. However, on Saturday morning I researched vendors offering emergency service and then called Hicklin Overhead Door. I was thrilled when a real person answered their phone and told me that they could repair this within a few hours. Jake arrived ahead of schedule and was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. He showed me the problem areas on both garage doors, explained what was needed, and answered all my questions. In addition to fixing the double garage door, I opted to repair our single garage door to prevent impending problems. All of the work was completed in less than one hour. Whenever our garage doors need service in the future, we will be calling Hicklin Overhead Door.

Rob was awesome! He was prompt and had great customer service. Rob reprogrammed my remote and opener. I lost power and my opener lost its memory. Rob lubricated all the working parts and made a few adjustments. Thanks!

They came out on time and the service tech was awesome. Very professional and explained everything he did. Did everything covered by the special, then pointed out an issue that was causing problems for my door. He gave me a price and I authorized him to do the work. Very happy with the company and work performed. Will definitely use again!

He was very courteous and efficient. Did the work quickly and also with a schedule from 8-10a.m., he was here at 8:20. I really appreciated that so I could get on with my day.

Garage door issues always seem to happen at the most inopportune time. I have an ongoing issue with tension on the right cable when the door is in the open position. This is a newer Overhead Door insulated door, and I've had a lot of issues with the original installer. Suffice it to say, the name sake of the door is who installed it! Hardly anything was square on the install and has required a lot of trimming, bending and such to keep it running halfway decent. This is not the first time it has slipped a cable on the exact same drum. As luck would have it... Thanksgiving evening, I ran out to the garage to get something. As the rolled door shut, I heard it jam and knew I was in trouble. Upon closer inspection, one of the cables had totally unwound itself from the drum and jammed up the whole works. I managed to get the cable unwound and get the door shut for the night. I really hate messing with these torsion springs, so decided to call a professional. I called Hicklin Overhead Doors at 7AM the day after Thanksgiving, and to my shock, a technician was at my house about an hour later. He got the cable back on the drum and also leveled up a bearing plate which helped the cable slack quite a bit. There is only so much a tech can do when theres not much plumb/square on the door (short of having them totally remove and reinstall it anyway). Given the promptness of the technician, I was very happy with the price. If I hadn't just blown a pile of money on this door a few years ago, I would have them replace it. Bad installation or not ... I'll just have to live with it for a while. When the time does come for a new door, I will certainly give Hicklin Overhead Doors a call. Given the luck I've had with this, that might be sooner than later.

I purchased the special on garage door maintenance, but between the time I bought the service and before I had even scheduled a time, my door broke. One wheel came dislodged causing the opposite rail to bend. This happened over the weekend, of course. Through Angie's List I requested my maintenance visit to be first thing Monday morning. They replied very promptly (over the weekend I might add) and after explaining my situation they made sure I was the first service call of the day on Monday They even offered to come over the weekend. I was VERY impressed by their willingness to help and fortunately I wasn't stuck in my garage. If I was, I have no doubt they would've made an emergency trip to fix my door. Hicklin has a large number of positive reviews, now I know why. Thank you!!!!

I purchased this as a discount deal for 60.00. I hadn't been able to get my door working properly for sometime. After explaining the problem to the tech, he immediately checked my sensors. He was unable to get the existing sensors to function correctly so he replaced the old sensors. This was done without extra cost. Nice to have my garage door functioning properly again and all for 60.00. He also did a checkup of all the parts and made unpressured recommendations. Good experience for me.

Service provider was good but didn't provide a lot of background on why the spring needed to be replaced, I would have liked further information as to the issue.

It went very well. Our garage door is no longer squeaky and Rob made some adjustments so that the opening/closing of the door is smoother. Tim and Rob were friendly and professional. Would recommend!

I managed to get myself locked out of my old, 2-car garage when my remote completely failed. The garage has 2 garage door openings but no entry door. Hicklin showed up the morning after I called them - they even called ahead to see if they could arrive earlier. Eric was friendly, professional, and very helpful. It took less than an hour and he found a solution to gaining entry that didn't cost hundreds of dollars. I will definitely call Hicklin for any future needs.

He explained what he looked at and if there were any problems or concern, which there weren't! He greased the parts that could be to make it much quieter than it had been.

The tune-up went smoothly. I was having an issue with the door reversing on being shut but this was not consistent. Didn't happen during the tune up service and I had to adjust the sensors myself later. Got a quote about changing the rollers on the door but I haven't decided to have that done just yet.

Was very prompt and professional. We had not had our garage doors looked at for several years. Ultimately identified that the bearings were wearing out. Replaced them. Did some other touch up work. Explained options.

Work was professionally completed in a timely manner, site was cleaned up well. Technician was polite and competant.
