We had an afternoon doctor appointment, and we discovered in the morning that the garage door would not open. They arrived by noon, fixed the problem, and we made it to the doctor on time.

These guys were awesome! When I bought the home, the inspector recommended a garage door tune up. I found Hicklin on Angies list and they had great reviews so I gave them a try. After I purchased the deal through Angies list, they called to set up an appointment for the next day. Noah communicated with me every step of the way and told me what additional work I should have done to get the door back in good shape. Would definitely calls these guys again and would recommend to anyone.

Service call placed at 8:45 - was given appointment window of 11-1 - techs were running ahead of schedule and repair was completed by 10:45 - very impressed!

The door did not reflect the issue when the service person was present, but within a week I ended up replacing the opener with a new one as the door stopped opening all together. I'm not sure what the service technician ended up doing to "tune up the door", but it ended up being a wasted $60. I did, however, hire them to come back and install the new opener, which they did a great job of. I gave them a B on professionalism only because I was quoted a time range they would be at my house and was expecting a phone call to tell me when they were on their way. They did not call ahead of time, they just showed up. Also, given the fact that my door failed to open within a week of their visit, it would've been nice if they would've offered me a discount on the install of the new opener, but they did not.

He arrived on time, went to work right away, and finished in less than half-an-hour.

Good - our appointment was for 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and he called to day he'd be here around 10 (which I appreciated), and arrived just a couple mins after. Very professional and knowledgeable. Reprogramed keypad remote, fixed 2nd light on garage door opener and inspected sensors. I'm very satisfied! Would definitely hire again.

He was fine, he did great! He was very professional, nice, and did all he could do. He took care of the problem and was in and out of there in half an hour.

Everything was done accordingly to what was offered in a deal. Serviceman answered all my questions, made some suggestions. Was friendly and polite. Job was done quickly and professionally.

I requested an appointment online and received a call an hour later. They gave me a same-day (Saturday) appt. window of 1-3pm. Service Tech arrived at 2pm and did a FANTASTIC job. He walked us step by step through his recommendations. We purchased the house new 10 years ago and the opener has always rattled. We had the original installer out previously and them said it was normal. Hicklin-suggested adding a support bar without us even mentioning that problem. The opener is so quiet now and runs like a dream. Great service, very professional- would definitely use them again and recommend to everyone!

The garage were squeaking a straining when opening and closing but they are quiet and work effortlessly now Technician lubricated and tightened the springs and also realigned the sensors. The work was done quickly and hassle-free. They arrived about 15 minutes later than the 2 hour window we had set but the owner called to let me know of they delay. Overall, a really great experience and well worth the money.

Very professional. Knew door would require heavier springs than suggested by reference book. Price was quoted over phone and charge for service was same as quote even though technician bascially did job twice to make sure correct weight springs were used.

The tech was on time, completed checks timely. Replaced the bottom seal. I definitely would use Hicklin for door and opener maintaince.

Bought Angie's List "tune up" special for a problem with my garage door sometimes sticking and not opening fully. I was told by Hicklin this would be covered under this promotion. The tech arrived promptly and oiled up the bearings of my door and made one small adjustment to the force of the door motor and used some uni-strut to brace the motor more securely. Was at my house all of 15 minutes. I had already paid the fee for Angies List and I had to pay an additional $68.90 for this "service". Apparently that was just the call fee, so $45 to call them on the phone?? Then another $70 to come out for 15 minutes. Man, I'm in the wrong business. What's the work out to per minute? I own a business and I never mislead people like this and over charge for a simple service like that. In fact, I think they charge you based on where you live and what you have in your garage. The service guy was very nice but the company misleads you on so-called specials on Angie's List. Don't buy it, you'll pay double or more than what it really costs. I don't ever review anything online but this one has been bothering my ever since, just because of the principals of business and being fair and honest. Well, guess what, Hicklin is not any of those.

On both the initial visit and the installation date, they arrived within the time they quoted, worked quickly, and explained the situation well. I'm very pleased with the garage door itself and with Hicklin's prompt and curteous service.

Jake, office staff, was very courteous and professional. He advised a technician would be out between 1:00 - 3:00 pm the same day. Eric, the technician, arrived at 1:45 PM. He was also courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. He graciously answered all of my questions. Initially the call was to replace one broken spring...but Eric recommended that both be replaced since one was gone...the other would probably not be far behind. So...to avoid another service call, he replaced both. I rated the price as 'N/A' as I do not have anything to compare it to. Two springs was $199 plus tax and the door seal was about $37.00 plus tax.

I was told that the person would be at my place from 9-11. At 9 the next day he was in my driveway and ready to work. He looked at the door opener and door. Showed me where the spring was broke and had one on hand as well. Installed everything in an hour and was very courteous and had a good sense of humor. Would recommend this company to anyone.
