Hicklin Door Services has specialized in garage door and door opener systems since 2002. Our family-owned business is small enough to serve each customer personally and large enough to take care of any garage door project, whether residential, commercial or industrial. For complete customer satisfaction, we exclusively sell and recommend one of the top garage door manufacturers - Garaga garage doors. Business hours: Seven days a week from 6 AM to 10 PM. Description of Work: We called due to our garage door not working- it wasn't going up or down. The tech came on time, which was nice. He then walked towards the door and told me it couldn't be fixed, we had a cheap garage door builders use (made sense since our house was a spec house) and said we needed a new one. He then estimated $829.95+ tax for a new door. I then called the company who installed it to see what the warranty information was. They asked me to send a picture of what happened, which I did, and said they could fix it. They came today, showed me immediately that it was a lock had been bumped which locked the garage door. He unlocked this, and bam, it was fixed. No problems with the door, it's now working properly. I'm very disappointed with the service we received- I feel they were trying to sell us a new (expensive!) door instead of looking at what was wrong with our current door.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience with our company. We strive to offer the best service possible to every customer. We work very hard to accomplish this and continue to train our people to work toward this goal. I have addressed your concern with the tech that performed your service. He tells me that the slide lock issue was noticed and he notified you of this while he was there. If this was not the case I do apologize for the mistake. The door quote that was given was simply to give you an idea on cost so if at some point in the future you were interested in a new door you would have an idea on price. The reason he offered you this quote was because he felt the door you currently have was not in the best condition and that at some point in the near future would need replaced.

Description of Work: Garage door would stick on inside right side when raised. Agent tried to discover the reason and correct. Seemed to be OK while he was present, but has continued to stick like before. Oiled rollers. Acted professionally, and did try. Unfortunately, my problem was not solved.

Description of Work: I was really happy to have my garage door tuned up. My door was becoming very noisy when it opened. Hincklin Door came to do a tune up and told me I needed new rollers. They replaced the rollers, tuned up the door, and now the garage door is quiet and works like New. It took less than an hour. They were willing to come after I got off work. Easy to work with.
