My garage door was not going up more than 2 feet from the floor from time to time, but with a few tries, it would open all the way and close. I decided I didn't want to wait until It wouldn't open all the way and I wouldn't be able to get my car out of my garage. I found Hicklin on Angie's List but contacted them through their website late in the evening. I received an email response a little later that evening and I spoke to, the owner, the next morning. We set up a time in the late afternoon which worked best for me. I was thrilled I didn't have to wait another day because I felt I needed to leave my care in the driveway for fear I wouldn't be able to pull It out if it stayed stuck 2 feet off the ground. Mark his serviceman, arrived within the expected time and knew immediately that one of the springs had busted. I was shocked at the cost options to replace the spring but with the Angie's List $40.00 free service call coupon and an extra 10% off the total price, the cost was actually quite reasonable. Mark also lubricated all the hinges and told me the best product I could get to use twice a year on the springs. My garage door makes less noise now and glides beautifully on the rails. I couldn't be happier with the service and the final price was quite reasonable. I would definitely call Hicklin again for anything related to a garage door.

We had never had a need with our garage door to use a service man so we didn't know who to call. We had signed up on Angie's list the week before so we decided to use your service. We called Hicklin Overhead doors and they were very polite and efficient on the phone. They said they would arrive at 7:30 am. They were on time, courteous, efficient, knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it. I was on my way to work by 8:30!!!! I absolutely will call them again. I highly recommend Hicklin Overhead doors.

We didn't use them, it was a very expensive quote so we replaced our own garage door for 1/4 of the cost, counting our time.

I called on Thurs and made an appt. to get a bid on Sat. and asked that they call when they were on their way. They called as I requested and were able to repair my door that day. The tech was friendly and helpful and by repairing the opener kept the cost much lower than the other bid I received. I am VERY happy with the work and the tech who did it. I highly recommend Hicklin and would use them again myself.

Professional. Efficient. Was able to schedule appointment quickly and they have convenient hours - in fact it would have been fixed a day or 2 sooner but my schedule didn't allow them to come. I thought the sensors were off on the garage door and was unable to fix myself. Ends up a wire was broke. The repair guy lubricated everything since he was there and offered to program the remote in my new car. Little expensive considering repairs didn't take that long, but if you figure in their time and gas to get to repair site it's not bad.

The repairman showed up on his scheduled appointment time, which was really nice. He was friendly, introduced himself, and told me what he was going to do. He completed the job in about an hour, then he cleaned up after the project as well, which was great! He even negated the service call and labor charge for this! We would definitely call them again if we have problems with our garage door.

It was a great experience, the young man that came out was very professional and after some decussion I made the decision to replace my garage door opener and I love to new opener and the new wall mount. He was very upfront that I didn't need to do that, but after weighing all the options it was the better option. I will be buying a new garage door from them as soon as I can.

One of the torsion springs had broken into 2 pieces. He replaced both springs and lubricated the 2 car garage door. He also lubricated the 1 car garage door because we have a 3 car garage. Both doors operate correctly and smoothly. The cost was a little higher than I wanted, but I honestly did not know what price to expect. He waived the service call fee because I used Angie's List to contact his company. The cost included the material and labor and tax.

Because of his advise, I would definately call him in the future when in need of garage door repairs.

I originally requested a quote via their website; I got an e-mail with a PDF the same day from Tim detailing the cost for my requested model, as well as a quote for a slightly less expensive model. I replied that I wanted to move forward with my original request. Tim set up a time for a technician to come by and check the situation and take some measurements before ordering the door; we scheduled for the very next day, and the technician called me and was available a little early, so I met him shortly after work. I paid half of the cost for the door upfront, because this was a special order for them. He said it would arrive in about 2 weeks and they would call to set up the install. While at my house, the technician asked if I would be interested in replacing the garage opener, since my current one was 20 years old (I originally asked only for a new door; my opener seemed to work fine.) He said if I'd a new opener along with the door they would take off $100. I told him I thought I was ok with the current one. He was fine with that. A couple of days later, after I'd had a chance to think about it, I sent an e-mail to Tim and said I wanted to go ahead and replace the opener at the same time. He replied back that they would include that in the order. About 10 days later I got a call saying the door would be in later that week; I asked to delay installation until the following week because I have a construction crew working on my house. Tim graciously delayed until the following Monday, and then I asked to delay again to the following Wednesday, had he gladly adjusted the install date. On Wedensday June 26th the installers showed up right on time, worked about 2.5 hours, and I now have a terrific new garage door and opener. The price was probably a little more than one could spend, but I got a very high quality, fully insulated door and a 1/2 HP new garage opener for about $1500. In the end I am very pleased with the communication, the products received, and the service delivered.

the installation guy was very good and cleaned up after himself. In addition to the garage door I also got a new opener and he spent some time explaining the codes, how it worked and special settings.

The cable on my garage door came off the pulley so the door would not close. I called in the evening and the tech came out the next morning. He replaced the springs to prevent the cable issue again in the future and because they were worn, and also the rollers on the door as I had also noticed issues there. Jake was very knowledgeable and friendly, answering all my questions. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I can't believe how much quieter the door is now! I would highly recommend Hicklin and will definitely use them again in the future.

Called in the morning and Steve came out that afternoon. Replaced a trolley on my Genie opener. In addition, he also re-positioned the track of the door so there was less stress on it, and oiled and tightened all other bolts on the door at no charge. He stated that is part of the service. Steve was very professional and answered all my questions. I would definately refer this company to my friends and neighbors.

They did exactly what they said they would, were very punctual, clean, and professional. The only negative I can think of is they would not honor the coupon ($40) I got from Angies List for the first service call? Otherwise we were completely satisfied with Hicklin Doors.

Our garage door opener first stopped working due to some stripped gears. Procrastinating on making a service call, we were opening it manually (for 2 days ) and then a cable came undone. Bummer! Now our garage door wouldn't open or close and looked crooked. I called Hicklin & they had a technician out here within 30 minutes. He did a great job explaining what was going on and what my options were. He priced repair of the old opener and also the cost of new. He also talked to me about maintenance to prevent further problems. Neither my husband or I knew we were suppose to be doing easy maintenance on our garage door! He had all the parts he needed and got the job done in 1 visit. Fixed the old, lubed all the garage door parts, adjusted the existing springs, etc. Two hours later it's all as good as new. I hate to think how long it would've taken my husband and me to do this work ourselves!

I called Hicklin and within one hour the service man was at the door. He was very professional, quickly determined what needed to be done and repaired the door in about 30 minutes. He provided information on how to prevent a recurrence. I had no previous experience with this company, or with Angie's List. I had to have them back out three times due to issues with the door. They came out first because they didn't install the button for the door on wall. The second time due to a poor electrical connection that he originally installed improperly. And lastly they came out due to a sensor that had slipped they had to adjust. They charged me a service fee on the second trip because of the additional work that had to be done original installer didn't do it.

After noticing my multiple adjustments that a cable on one side had come off the spool and my door would no longer close, it was time to call Hicklin. Made an appointment after explaining my predicament and had Steve K. at my door within about an hour and one half ready to go to work. Steve had things working good again within about one hour and even made some adjustments to track to bring back in line. He also lubricated track to eliminate noise we were experiencing during operation.. Great job, fair price, Happy customer!

Made a call to request service on my garage door for the following day. The man who answered the phone said they offer same day service at no extra charge. So I went ahead and set up a time. The technician arrived and we discussed the issues with the door and options on how to proceed. The 2 technicians were done in about an about. I'm very pleased with the work they did.

We heard a loud bang last night at our house and could not locate where it emanated from. This morning when we went to open the garage door, it became apparent that one of the springs had broken on the garage door. We looked up Angie's list and found great reviews for Hicklin Overhead Doors. I called them up at 8:30 and they were here at 10 to fix it, with the parts. Extremely prompt service!!! The technician that came was very knowledgable, worked with me on the price and gave an excellent deal on the overall price to fix the issue. They also had a $40 off for the service call. Overall, very pleased with the service, the professionalism of not only the technician, but the service manager. They took good care of us!

We called on a Saturday to get information/set up an appointment. They were able to schedule us for the following Wednesday and gave us a time frame of when they would arrive. They arrived within the time frame and provided information and an estimate. Andrew was very professional and not pushy at all. We decided what to purchase and were told that it could take a couple weeks to schedule the install, depending on their inventory. We got a call that Friday and they could install our new door the very next day! It was such a relief not to have to wait. Andrew was also the installer and arrived as scheduled. He went right to work and even changed a burnt out light bulb in the garage for us! He completed the job in one trip and hauled away our old garage door. We are very pleased with the work that he did and are completely satisfied with the customer service we received from Hicklin.

Garage door wouldn't raise. He saw immediately that the screw-thing that is central to the whole apparatus was stripped and needed replacing. Part picked up, door fixed, no more problems.

Hicklin Garage Doors came to see if our current door could be repaired and were very upfront about the condition of the door and what they could do. We chose to replace the door and Hicklin quickly gave us a quote (door and service) and were able to replace it within the week. Great service, a bit pricey but worth it!

Saw Hicklin Overhead Doors on Angies list along with the $40 free service code coupon. Called them this morning around 7:30am. They got me scheduled between 11 and 1pm. The repair guy was out right on time and had it all fixed within a half hour. He even adjusted the tension on my door springs and lubed the rollers/hinges. They honored the $40 free service call coupon. Cost me $69 for the repair. Well worth it. Glad to get this fixed so quickly as my house seems to have hit some repair wall with everything I've been fixing lately :) Great job!

We had the garage door installed by a contractor (mistake) and then when it wasn't working properly called another garage door company who only fixed half the problem. When the original garage door company was not willing to fix their errors we called Hicklin. I called about 8am and was quoted a 10-12 time frame ON THE SAME DAY! The previous company would only come to fix THEIR mistake a week later. The tech (Steve K.) arrive a little before 10am. I gave him all the info and he had an immediate solution to the problems and was very knowledgable. He quoted a price which we agreed to and he got to work. He was very quick and had the problem solved for the price quoted. He even swept up the garage and took the old tracks away (something both previous companies had failed to do.) Next time I am just calling Hicklin first!!
