I am so glad I took advantage of the Angie's List deal for a Garage Door Tune Up. The tech showed up 10 minutes early and was very polite and provided me with options to make my garage door work better, No high pressure just info on the options. I had him replace the all the rollers with new ones and WOW what a difference. If you have an older garage door I highly recommend you do yourself a favor and get this deal

Wonderfully. installation was in the tuck-under garage of a 105 year old house. The crew showed up a half hour early and worked for six hours (which I gather is twice the typical time) to complete the job, without a single complaint about the difficulty. They carefully cleaned up. Everything looks great and works very smoothly.

He was very prompt and professional. Did his diagnostics and found rollers needed to be replaced. Price for tune-up was $60 and new rollers were $99.00 with lifetime warranty on parts, which, I thought, was very reasonable. Will definitely do business with them again and will recommend them to everyone.

It seemed to be going quite smoothly. Then the technician was trying to sell me a new garage door - beware!

It went well. He came and did what I needed to have done. He was courteous, on time, helpful. I asked the guy for a sticker to put on by the door so I would call them next time.

The tech showed me his price list of services. I selected the best service in my budget. He was on time and knowledgeable about the products and skilled in the installation of the parts.

Made adjustments and made recommendations for weatherproofing.

All went extremely well and no issues.

I purchased an Angie's list big deal for $60. They were prompt in responding to my preferred appointment dates and in fact, took the first one. The tech called me up about 30 minutes before he was going to show up, reconfirming my address. he showed up on time, clean and very polite. He checked the door and everything was fine ut the sluggish performace of the door was due to bad rollers and he recommend replacing them with a new nylon roller. It was a $99 additional coast but the door was an older model and still had the original rollers on it. I opted for the replacement rollers and he was done in 30 minutes. He tested the door, lubed the hinges, advised me on monthly lubrication and he was done! My door has never been so quiet and it performs really well. Good Job!

When the technician got there he realized he could not do the "updated" as I had a broken spring- which was going to cost $200.00. I was very pleased as to how Tim, the owner, handled this. Even though they weren't able to perform the job that I had paid for, he was able to offer me a solution that worked for both of us.

My garage door opener was very old, and it may have even been original with the house. Some of the steel cabling was frayed and coming loose, and the lift eventually stopped working. On top of that, the door itself was also showing its age and had some wear and cosmetic damage. When the guy from Hicklin came over to give me a quote he told me that it could not be repaired. The opener had to be replaced and that it wouldn't cost much more to replace the door as well. My garage door and opener looked so bad that I felt he was being honest with me, and the price sounded good so I agreed to have them do the work. In just 18 days the new door that was ordered was ready and they they were able to install it quickly and professionally while I was away at work. It looks and works great, I have no complaints at all.

ok.. It took them 2 service calls to resolve. Motor was workign fine on both door openers when they arrived and tested during the service call one of the door opener motor quit working . ?? Hicklin couldn't tell me why it quit working just that I needed to replace .

He oiled all the hinges/parts on the track, offered to re-align my motion detector (which I didn't have him do though and recommended a new seal for the bottom of my garage door.

The service was really great. They were really good. They were prompt. They got out there right away. I thought their prices were fair. They were professional and courteous. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The work they did turned out fine. For the initial deal, it was more than the $60, but I had some other work done that they did for me that was not included in the package. It was not that much. I called them and scheduled it and they were out in a few days. I would use them again in the future and I did.

It turned out that my primary problem (garage door no longer opened fully in temperatures less than 25 degrees) was caused by the fact that the person who installed the door opener--years ago--failed to adjust the opener properly. The service person discovered the problem and made adjustments, as well as lubricating and adjusting the door's springs. I will still need a new garage door one of these days, but it appears I have more time to plan for it now. The service man was very professional and a pleasure to speak with.

It went Great. He got here around 1:PM started working on door and had it all done in about 30 min.

In the process, he discovered some parts starting to wear out in my main door, and showed me where the wear was and he wasn't making it up. He was able to replace the motor in the other door and it immediately began to pull a lot more smoothly and quickly. Good preventative maintenance. Very professional and prompt. This is the second time I've used them over the last couple of years and I'd use them again.

Old fashioned one piece lift up door broke and partially came off tracks. Very heavy door, awkward to lift and was afraid to remove and replace would be a nightmare! Called Hicklin in the morning and had new door ordered by afternoon. They came out to the house and inspected the garage, measured and ordered the door. Was a special order due to the size but I was amazed they could get one to fit. Took about two weeks to get the door delivered but soon as it came in, they scheduled the installation. The also got rid of the ancient old door and hauled it off. They came back for a follow up the next day to adjust the door and finish installing the lock and hardware. VERY pleased! Recommend without hesitation. The new door is a basic one, fits perfectly, and lifts easily manually. Had worried about the old door for years and had always been afraid would be impossible to replace it without hiring someone to do custom carpentry and installation. So, very happy with Hicklin - they were easy to work with, friendly, and did a nice job!
