 + 0 moreWork was performed on schedule and within budget. Each change order showed the changes and the new cost. The crew cleaned up after each visit and anything not within spec was quickly fixed. Remodeling work requires a complicated choreographed dance of different contractors and this was done with skill and finesse. Zak was also free with some advice on the project (not all of my ideas are good) which I appreciated. Zak is fun to work with and I was very pleased with the end result.
Description of Work: Demolished and rebuilt portion of partially finished basement to install an insulated wine cellar, custom made high-end wet bar, and media area. Also stripped out B grade woodwork and trim and replaced it. New electrical, infrared controls for media closet, excellent tile work on the floor, excellent matching of new and old ceiling (I can't tell where one ends and the other begins), perfect woodwork and trim skills and finessed installation of plumbing, heating, and appliances.

 + 1 moreZak was professional and creative and provided us with realistic time and cost estimates. He investigated our request to upgrade our gas fireplace thoroughly and although it was cost-prohibitive to replace at that time, we felt satisfied that we understood all of our options and were ok with our decision not to proceed. I cannot say enough about how easy Zak was to work with and the work was completed in 3 weeks and we have been very satisfied.
Description of Work: We met Zak at the Home Remodelers show and had him complete our basement. It had been previously furnished, but flooded with extensive damage when the sump pump failed 3 years previously. When my husband's DIY gene failed to activate, we turned to a professional to complete the finishing. This involved drywall, electrical, painting, placing our built-ins back in place and carpeting.

Description of Work: Total kitchen remodel including taking out the bulk head, putting in "to the ceiling" cabinets, new tile in kitchen and bathroom. New countertops in kitchen and bathroom. All new stainless steel appliances (not included in cost of service) installed. Total cost with appliances around $50,000. From beginning to end tremendous to work with. Coordinated everything and kept the ball rolling with regular updates and timelines provided for completion. Would highly recommend their services again.
