Description of Work: Fixed a/c

Description of Work: First impression was great. During the heat wave last year we had a tech (Chris) come out and indicated that our mother board for the AC was bad. He replaced with new board for a total cost of $400 and got it going again. It quit working 1 day later and Chris was back out for several hours on a Friday night and could not get it going. He came back on Saturday and worked for several hours and was able to get it going again but indicated that he had to jump some wires to make the AC work but that the heater would not work. He said they would need to come back and figure this out later. Which we agreed we would wait until the heat wave was over as they were busy helping others. This got us through during the bad heat wave last year and we when October came we called to have Chris back out. He had left the company so Craig came and spent several hours trying to figure things out. He said he found a short in a wire which he fixed but said this short caused the board we had bought plus our thermostat to go bad so we have another $700 charge. I confirmed with Craig since we were no longer in AC mode that everything checked out and we were good to go. He said yes. Well with the nice spike in Temps yesterday we went to turn on the AC last night and nothing happened. Went down and checked the small trip fuse that Chris has shown me before and confirmed it was tripped. Reset and used the manual on switch that Chris had also shown me and got nothing but a buzz which tripped the fuse again. Called Craig this morning and reminded him of our problems and was prepared for this conversation going to two potential ways. 1. He would agree that he confirmed everything worked and offer to come out and take a look. 2. He would claim that he fixed everything but we may now have a different problem. Well the conversation went the 2nd way. Unfortunatley not what I wanted. I realize it is possible that somehow during the winter something would cause the AC to not work. My indicator of whether I would use Des Moines Heating and Cooling again was the initial response. I was hoping to hear I'm sorry you are having problems again. I can send someone over and take a look at the work we did and determine if we missed something. Unfortunatley when the first thing I heard were we fixed what we found and now you may have another problem I knew my choice was to find another company, $1100 lesson learned.

Description of Work: The serviceman examined my air conditioning which was not working, determined it was low on freon, added freon and checked out the rest of the system.
