CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY

I sent them two requests for a quote, asked them to let me know if they couldn't do it even and they didn't respond at all.

They were great -- willing to work the job in between their bigger orders since it was just cushions, fast, helpful in selecting fabric and determining how much would be needed, and work was very high quality. Cushions look great! $450 labor, $350 fabric for 6 cushions.

I went in for an estimate and the owner had a frank discussion with me regarding the service desired and how cost effective it would be. He was honest and candid through out the whole exchange. Though I decided against service that day, I would definitely go back to him for any of my apolstery needs.

Every aspect of the work, from supplying the perfect fabrics, they had quite the collection, to having me test the items before completion to see if the furniture would accommodate my bad back. Meticulous in every detail. Great communication. Owner Bob Kading; Tom and Darrold are incredibly skilled. Being known for years as the quality place to go to. They are Craftsmen and Artists in their field.

He told me beforehand that it would take a couple of weeks due to his workload, and I was okay with that. It was done on time with quality results.

Excellent! To much to tell. But 2 items had been badly upholstered before at great expense. Items deteriorated. We knew of Bob Kading and his business. Took items to him one by one as we worked together to make them show pieces And comfortable. I've had 4 spinal cord surgeries so I had little to use in my home for comfort and rest with out great pain. Bob took all this into consideration and provided perfection in all areas. Workmanship, fabrics, communication, quality. We were not looking for the cheapest price but quality craftsmanship. His crew is golden and we have a deep respect for Bob and his company. He is The Best.

He was very helpful in answering questions (how thick should the cushions be, filled with what material, should it be wrapped for softness, etc.). The fabric was a little busy and when I got the cushions...WOW! He had matched the fabric pattern so cushions could be reversed and still match (something that appreciate very much). The cushions look great and professional in appearance and feel. I'm planning my next project with no concerns about the workmanship with this firm.

Custom Upholstery is a very fine company. He is very, very good. The price seemed pretty reasonable. He has been in business for many years. He is pretty well plugged in. I know a number of decorators use him.
