Prompt, courteous, and good dirt. Also, provided my grandson a good show since he loves dump trucks. Very friendly and have used him before over the years.
Description of Work: Delivered clean dirt for my landscaping project. Helped with estimating the amount I needed. Didn't try to sell me more than I needed.

They did a great job. I got them from one of the ads that come in the back of the service directory of the newspaper. The previous owner built his shed and evidently took away the garage and parked his boat on white rock. I didn't know there had been a garage there. When I first moved here in 2008, I had somebody come out with a Bobcat and they dug up a couple of inches and then deposited what turned out to really be clay. This time I had Crandall Trucking bring out dirt. At that time it was okay to bring a dump truck pretty much in, not all the way in. You can't do it anymore because now I have got a garden there. It was great. The price was good. They were prompt, effective, helpful, and cooperative. They were able to move the rock in. I have a white rock driveway. The guy just backed all the way in into the driveway and tilted the truck as he moved forward so that it came out. It still had to be smoothed out a little bit, but it worked out okay. The dirt was a different story. He did the best he could but there were some power lines in the back and he couldn't get the thing far enough in to turn. At the time I was speaking to my daughter and her boyfriend and the boyfriend shoveled it over to the other side. The guy did as far as he could. The wires are like a U-shape. The people behind me have wires, the people next door have wires and the people across have wires so he couldn't get very far, but it did all land on my property. The price was reasonable. He was prompt. He was pleasant. He got me decent dirt. I had a vegetable garden this year courtesy Crandall Trucking. I would use him again, but I can't anymore. The city of Des Moines offered the alley up for sale and this house is the only one that actually bought that so there is an alley that runs down from my house to the connecting street which is about 4 or 5 houses down. The city probably still has access to the utility pole in my back yard so there is one of those double ranch gates in the back. I even had a cherry picker in here to trim the trees once. The gate is still there, but it's got flowers, birdfeeders, bird baths, and tomatoes.
Description of Work: Crandall Trucking very promptly delivered 4 or 5 tons of white rock to my driveway and about 7½ tons of black dirt in the back.
