Connett Services

Connett services was sent through Hsa home warranty to fix my central air conditioning system. I still do not have working air conditioning. I contacted my home warranty company Hsa on 8/26/2020 because my central air was not cooling the house. They sent out Connett seriveses. Connett services technician showed up and said our ac unit needs replaced but they managed to get it working while awaiting approval from Hsa for replacement. They submitted it for approval through Hsa and ordered a new ac unit. The new unit was schedule to be installed on 9/23/2020 in the afternoon. The technician did not call before arrival as he was supposed to and showed up at 8am. That afternoon we turned on the air and waited 3 hrs later the temperature in the house had not dropped at all the next morning it was 63 Degrease outside and 75 inside. On 9/24/2020 we again called Connett and my wife left work early to meet them. They proceeded to check everything out and determined that a relay went bad in the furnace. They replaced the relay and left. Three hrs later still no change in the house the air was still not functioning correctly. On 9/25/2020 we again called Connett and they came out and said everything was functioning correctly and could not find an issue. Three hrs later again no change ac still is not cooling the house at all we then noticed the ac lines are freezing up outside. We again contacted Connett and they were unable to come out till 929/2020. On 9/29/2020 they showed up and i told them the ac lines are freezing over. The technician was in the basement for approximately 30 min and then informed me that he was the first tech that we had out to our home and had made the determination that the ac unit was at fault. He then told me that he was unable to obtain any model number or specs from the old unit as it was badly weathered. He had ordered a 2ton ac model based on his experience and now believed that the old ac must have been a 1.5 ton and the new 2ton requires more air flow than our duct work can handle and said we would need to add 3 additional runs to make it work. He said he would talk with the owner and they would get back with us about installation. When they did contact my wife they told her we would have to $900.00 for the installation of the outlets. Connet was given instructions to have the owner call me after 4Pm on Tuesday or anytime on Wednesday as i am a law enforcement officer and work in the jail and have no access to my cell phone during the day. The owner called me Tuesday at 9am and left a voice mail. I promptly retuned his call after 4Pm when i was off work and was informed he is out of the office the rest of the day and would call in the morning. It is now nearly 3Pm the next day and still no call. I wanted to inform him that i had removed a capped off 6in duct on the plenum and removed a 14in x 14in access panel for the a coil and ran the ac which should allow ample airflow through the system yet the ac still froze with in 3hrs of run time. Filed a Better business bureau complaint due to Connett services inability to fix my issue and the owner had the nerve to lie and say my wife said the freezing problem was part of the original issue. The warranty company sent out another contractor after Connett refused to return due to my B.B.B. complaint. The other company replaced a TXV valve that Connetts tech soldered without a cold wrap and destroyed the internal diaphragm and wow my A.C works great. If you would like to hire a company that will try to rip you off and call a civil servant liar then Connett Services is for you.

I work with a lot of former HVAC technicians in my field, and thus I am somewhat picky. I tend to be a hands on, ask a million questions sort of consumer, and have high standards. Keep this in mind when I say Chris with Connett provided me with a beyond excellent service visit today. My wife and I just purchased a home with an older furnace, and were worried about having to shell out money for a costly repair or a replacement so soon. For this reason we scheduled a preventative visit with Connett based on a friends reccomendation. Chris arrived on time, was efficient and clean in the service he performed, cleaning even the pipes and area around the unit. He was cordial, making a point to talk to me about the unit and what he was finding. At the end of the service visit he explained what all he did, the reasons for it and explained the charges. He did such an excellent job I’ve already begun reccomending Connett to my friends in the area. 100/100 could not have done a better job.

They were wonderful. Got us in quickly. Finished work quickly and very professional. Would recommend to anyone!

Was scheculed to be here at noon on September 30th. They showed up at 8:30 A.M. with no warning call (good thing I had the day off). Work was performed in a timely manner. The guys cleaned up properly, and everything is in working order....the only complaint I have is that the installer used some kind of clear sealer on the ductwork seams, and it looks like a blind guy did it. Horrible caulking/sealing job. Other than that, I'm good. Also, I read alot of bad reviews on the American Standard 14 seer AC they installed, so that's a little unsettling. I'm curious to see how long it lasts.

Requested service through Home Warranty company online about 11pm and heard from Ginger at Connett in the morning. She advised they could come out in the afternoon that day between noon and 4pm. Zach arrived about 4:30, I figured he must have had a busy day. He took the time to let me know the possible outcomes and potential options depending on the problem with the AC. He was here less than an hour to diagnose the problem with the equipment, make the repair and have it up and running. Both Zach and Ginger with professional and pleasant to deal with.

Provider showed up after calling to say he was on the way I ran to bank left roommate home and then I called to check in, roommate said they said we needed parts and would call so I called them and they stated that because my basement was a mess they refused to do service. I understand that some people can have a pristine basement but I don't I have a wet basement which causes us enough issues. They installed the unit a year and a half ago and now refuse to fix it. The condition of basement hasn't changed.

He was punctual. He did what he was supposed to do. I sometimes can't hear when somebody rings my doorbell and I live on the lower level where I spend the majority of my time. So, I asked the person to call ahead of time so I knew that they were about to arrive. They did that. He just did an excellent job and he did an extraordinary job of cleaning up after himself. He took it fully apart and did a marvelous job. I've told that guy to call me in the spring. He has set it up so that he'll call me in April or May for the air conditioning.

Connett services contacted me immediately after I scheduled through Angie's list. We agreed on a day and time and at the same time, I requested they also do a furnace check, which they did. In Sep and Oct, temps averaged 72 and 57 degrees respectively so I had not needed my furnace until November. My furnace would come on for a few minutes and then shut off. I sent them emails through Angie's list, but received no response. I called them on 11/10, 48 days after the service on the furnace and explained the problem. I was told that since it had been so long, there would be a $90 service charge. I said but, I believe it's your technician's error. She said since so much time had elapsed it would be $90.00. I said well you have lost my business and she said Goodbye. ON 11/12/2015, Holt Plumbing and Heating came out and inspected my furnace. The repairman found that the pressure switch hose was not hooked up and the gas valve was off.

I bought the tune up as a special offer. It sounded like a great deal. The service man was here about a half hour and told me I didn't need a new a/c. He was personable and professional. I'm not sure exactly what he did. I don't remember him turning on the a/c, but it's been several months. I was disappointed because I expected a good thorough check of the system. The company may have been looking at the check as a sales opportunity. I don't know that I would hire them again because I'm not sure this is what the company does normally as a seasonal check up. If it is, it's definitely not thorough enough for me.

Excellent service, on time and very professional

Went well. Everything was in proper working order. Did let me know it was an older system and if something happened would need the old Freon which is pricey. It was good information to know so that we could start budgeting for an upgrade.

I purchased a $35 seasonal A/C tune up via Angie's list on 4/23/15 and then set up an appointment for 5/8/15 between 12-4 pm. I re-arranged my work schedule to work from home that afternoon -something I am not allowed to request very often. On 5/26/15 I got a call from Connett asking me if I would be willing to reschedule my appointment? I explained I had rearranged my work schedule for it, so no I would not. 2-5 minutes later I got a call back from an angry sounding woman who told me I had no choice because there were people without air conditioning and they get priority over me. I told her I would like a refund because my business isn't a priority. She referred me back to Angie's List. She was not apologetic about wasting my time (yes you wasted my time as I could have been waiting for an appointment for a company that will show up and now I don't know how long that will be). I understand people have issues and emergencies and apparently $35 customers (and our available time) are way low on their Connett's priority list. If I had known that Connett couldn't actually service all of their commitments I certainly wouldn't have wasted two weeks waiting on a service call that is obviously a low priority to them. Interesting fact -my furnace and AC is over 20 years old and will need replacement soon but Connett is on the bottom of my priority list , actually they no longer make the list... I am guessing by the way the woman @ Connett talked to me yesterday she will respond and "explain this all away". Here's the deal -I have run a service company and you work a longer day to service your customers or don't take on new commitments when you can't service your existing one's even if you make less $ on the existing commitments because the new ones will find someone. Sorry -Connett you already wasted enough of my time.

He was prompt and gave a thorough report of equipment.Explained age and condition of A/C. Offered ballpark estimate for replacement equipment from their company.

I didn't think the deal was worth the money because he didn't do much. He just looked at it and that was it.

I hired Connett Services to perform routine maintenance on my AC. Upon taking my AC apart it was discovered that freon level was low and there was a leak. Replacement was recommended as the furnace and AC were 22 years old. They gave me a quote that I found to be reasonable after doing research and decided to go ahead with replacement. I decided to replace the water heater as well since it was 9 years old and hard to access behind the furnace. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day and were very professional. They cleaned up afterwards and hauled the old equipment away. A month later they stopped out to perform heating tests to ensure I would receive the full Mid American rebate which I did. I was very satisfied with the service this company provided and would definitely go them in the future for my heating and cooling needs. I have already noticed a huge difference in my heating bills so far this winter with the new furnace.

The technician was polite and respectful.

Roy was efficient, friendly, on time and completed check in about 40 min. Discussed the need for carbon monoxide detector on first floor more important than near the furnace( never had been told that). Appreciated his concern for my safety. I was very pleased with his service and his kindness. Recommended him to a friend an hour after he left. I believe he deserved more than an A.

It was through our home warranty. They were nice but very disorganized. The furnace had a read-in attached to it and they told us it would take a couple of days to retrieve it and it took about 2 months before we ever got that back. I called and one time they said that the paperwork was in the wrong pile on their desk and they had to recalibrate it. It was not quick like they said. Everything runs fine. The paperwork side of it was shabby. I might have to use them again because of our home warranty but otherwise I wouldn't use them.

Their employee was on time, replaced filter with a very inexpensive one, did not clean up after himself or turn off lights.

I scheduled an appointment and they did not show. I followed up via email with no response. I had purchased an Angie's list coupon from them for AC. I guess the money is just gone!

It turned out fine and they gave me some recommendations of other things I could do. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. We had to wait for the weather to warm up before they could come and work on the A/C unit. He showed up promptly.

This was a very bad and dangerous experience. They replaced the AC unit in the Summer time. During the installation they shut the gas off to the furnace and disconnected the venting pipes. When winter came around our furnace did not come on so we called a them back to look at that. He told us that that somebody had shut off the gas and it was a good thing because the venting was disconnected and we would have died of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning if it had came on when we tried. He told us it would be about $400 to vent the furnace. When we told him that they were the ones who had worked on it and disconnected it he got us in contact with the owner. The owner was very rude and even sounded drunk when I spoke to him in the early evening. Long story short he denied it was their fault and would not stand behind the work. We have rental properties and have now used Green's Appliance several times on both repairs and new units. They are great to deal with and don't rip you off. I am a new member to Angie's List and must say that seeing that Connett gets and A rating really makes me doubt the accuracy of the ratings. I will keep an open mind but I had to let people know that they should look elsewhere and not get conned with Connett. Many others have told me about bad experiences with them as well.

Overall, a great service. Very friendly, did exactly as advertised and kindly looked at our humidifier. I did have to call as they did not show up I the window assigned. However, I would use them again for future services.
