We also had an issue with the woodwork because she got paint all over it. I am disabled and on social security and long-term disability and I would have to spend every night after she left going back through all her work and removing the paint on the woodwork, which was not easy for me. When I would bring it up to her, she would brush it off and say she would get to it or try to say that it was already there before she started the job. We ended up hiring another company, Budget Painting, to re-do all her work. They had to scrape paint off a lot of the woodwork that I couldn?t get to. It ended up costing more than twice the amount to have it fixed than it did to have her in here in the first place. The contract was for her to complete the work in 7 days and it took her 5 weeks. The second company came in and completed everything in 3 days! She completely under bid the job and because of that she screwed us. If she would?ve talked to us and told us that she under estimated it and would need more money, we would?ve been happy to pay more and work with her. We have everything to take her to court, but my husband wouldn't take her to court because in the course of her working here, she was getting frustrated because she said it hadn't been painted since the first time and said it was sucking up so much paint. She also threatened us by telling us that a realtor didn?t pay her once for a job, so she ?paid her back? by destroying her car. She is threatening and scary. I wouldn?t want anyone to hire this woman. What type of person does it take to be that dishonest and take advantage of people? All she had to do was talk to us and tell us that she way under-bid this job and didn't estimate the paint. She just totally took advantage of us and our not knowing and I just don't want to see that happen, especially to older couples with fixed incomes. What kind of person takes out a contract out of someone?s drawer and changes it and tells a customer that they vandalized a realtor's car that didn't pay her?
Description of Work: We signed a contract with her to put 2 coats of paint on every room and ceiling in the house and to do a few minor drywall repairs. She came in our home and only put one coat of paint on the walls. I had the contract that stated the bid was for 2 coats in a kitchen drawer and I am not kidding, she went into my drawer and switched the bid to just painting the home, without a statement of how many coats. This was done during the winter when the days were gloomy so during the day you couldn’t tell, but at night when I would turn the lights on, you could see through the paint and see that the coats were not even across the walls. When the sun came through the house, I just started crying because you could see how horrible it was. After that mess, we had to hire Sherwin-Williams to come out and look at it and they let us know that she had only purchased enough paint to do one coat. We had even given her extra money for more paint! It was as if she came into the job already knowing she was only going to do one coat. She did it because she knew she could get away with it. I have proof that she didn't put two coats on and I have itemized statements from the person who came in about her quality of work. We told her not to move any furniture. She put a tear in the corner of the coach and got paint on it. We got the paint out but we had to hire an upholsterer to fix it. She refused to pay for the service charges to fix the coach.

It went very well. She worked hard, completed the work in a timely manner, and the quality of the work was excellent. She was also pleasant to be around.
Description of Work: They painted the ceilings, living room, dining room, and a partition in my home. They also refinished some stairs and replaced some lights. They did the woodwork on some bookcases as well.
