This company is no longer in business as far as I can tell. Does not return calls or e-mails, sign at the business painted over, no staff. (early June, 2018)

No show, no call. When I called them to see where they were, they said they couldn't find my home so they went on to the next call and couldn't come back. I had to reschedule for another day. I'm really disappointed they couldn't have just called me when they couldn't find my house. I took a day off work to get this done and now have to waste another day of vacation. Just aggravating. I am having them come back because I've heard they are a good company, but they made a mistake this time.

Gary Garles did an excellent job of translating our desires into a very beautiful landscaping job. We love the trees, the patio is amazing, we have raised gardens built with blocks that look great. His selection of plants is great. I would recommend Gary to anyone who wants quality work done.

I have used Bob Lenc for several years. I have no complaints. Service is effective and performed at the appropriate times throughout the season (spring through fall).

Lenc responded quickly to my email, and scheduled a visit to discuss the work a few days later. They were punctual and personable, and said I'd have a quote within a week. The quote has never come, and I had someone more eager for my business do the work.

The overall quality of their work was excellent. Their timeliness and responsiveness were good. I thought their pricing was a bit high, but we liked their design best. I believe the workers could've been more careful with their equipment while working, as they wore an undesired path down my sideyard while moving stone and fill. Overall, I would use them again - but I'd also get other bids and consider other vendors as well.

They were unknowledgeable and unprofessional. They said they were going to work up a plan and get back to me. I have never heard from them since.

Had a person come out in April to give an estimate. They never contacted me back although I called to follow up multiple times .Decided that if scustomer service was this bad prior to getting estimate that this was someone I did not want to deal with.

The plowing and clearing of snow was ok, but I would rate as so so. The price was more than I thought was fair.

We had a couple of meetings with Jeff; we told him what we are looking for in terms of color and ease of care. He drew up a plan and we went over it again. We cut down on the number of perennials, to save on costs. The morning the work started, Jeff came over with 3 laborers, he marked where every plant was supposed to go, etc, etc. The laborers knew what to do, were very polite and cleaned up after they were done. Later, Jeff came by to check on the finished work. During the course of the summer, some of the perennials died. There was never any problem, Jeff would come over and replace the dead plants. The next spring, the river birch clump did not all make it, some of the branches were dead; again, there was no problem and the entire clump was replaced.

I had them do a little work leveling out my yard a couple years ago, so i already knew their work was good. When I went to them they had a great selection of trees. I worked with a girl named Ann, and she gave me some wise recommendations of what trees would work where in my yard. She is the one who recommended the Rosa Sharon tree to do well in the corner of the yard. At the time they had some nice sales going on. I knew they would do a good job.

I contacted Bob Lenc at July 24 to remove some shrubs around our house, seven shrubs total. I called on a Wednesday and they had an appointment for an estimate the following day on Thursday. Justin Wagler, landscaping coordinator, came out and gave me an estimate to remove the seven shrubs for $340.00. I thought that was a bit steep, but needed it done. I said I would talk with my husband about it that night, then call him the next day to confirm. I called the following day (Friday) and left a message on his company cell phone saying that we would like them to do the job as soon as possible. I didn't hear anything back from him over the weekend or on Monday. I called again and spoke with him. He said that they wouldn't be able to come out until the week of August 5th due to his vacation. I said alright and said I would plan to hear from him then. I heard nothing. Finally on August 8th I called the main office, explained the situation, then was transferred to Justin Wagler's cell phone number again. I spoke with him and he said he didn't have his calendar with him but that he would call me when he got back to the office. That is the last I have heard from anyone at Bob Lenc. They never called me back and I still have the shrubs sitting in the ground. So not only do I still have the shrubs, but now my time has been wasted and I have been disrepected and unvalued as a customer. Obviously, they must not care that they don't follow through with what they say and must only want to work on bigger jobs. Little did they know that we were planning on using them in the spring for our landscaping needs. Don't bother with Bob Lenc or Justin Wagler. They don't care about their customers. Interesting to note that I told them I received their name from Angie's List. They must not have thought I would turn around and let other's know about my experience with them on Angie's list.

They are fine. They are thorough with their work. They will come back whenever we need them. If we are unhappy they will come back at no charge.

Quoted and finished work as expected. Yard looked good--gave me instructions for sod to get it going. Had issue with one plant color being wrong--called them and they came out and replaced it with the correct color. No complaints whatsoever on their work.

To their credit, within a few days (on April 23rd) a representative came and started up my irrigation system and did the backflow testing. He identified three sprinkler heads that needed to be repaired or replaced and he told me he wasn't qualified to do that work so another technician would come within the week to take care of them. From that point forward Bob Lenc service was a disaster. The repair technician was a no-show for 16 days, so I called the Bob Lenc office to ask what the problem was and I was told me they had no parts in inventory, but someone would be out within a week. After an additional 8 days and no technician, I called Bob Lenc Landscaping again and asked what the problem was. The lady apologized profusely, said they had a man in the area and he would be by later that day, or worse case, tomorrow. Another 8 days went by and no technician. Then on May 19 I received a letter from the City of Clive stating I was in non-compliance since no backflow testing report had been filed for my property. The deadline was May 15. This is a service I had paid Bob Lenc to do, a service that was performed by Bob Lenc on April 23rd, and a service that I paid Bob Lenc $20 for filing on-line because the City does not allow the homeowner to do it. On May 21 I personally traveled to Bob Lenc Landscaping offices. I asked the scheduler when a technician was scheduled to replace my sprinkler heads and I was informed I was not on the schedule. I asked to speak to the GM and I explained all that I had gone through. He admitted to me they were never out of irrigation system parts and he didn't know why I had been told that. He then asked the person why my backflow test had not been filed with the City and she held up a pile of hundreds of reports that had not been entered. Again this was 6 days after the City deadline. I had to go to City Hall to get the issue resolved. Needless to say, Bob Lenc will not be handling my irrigation shutdown this fall, nor will I ever do business with Bob Lenc again.

Generally I think they're fine. I've never had a problem with them in the past. I like their location and would go their again in the future.

It went well. They have some hard working guys. When they were on the roof at my mother in laws home, they noticed some wear and reported it to their boss so we could be told about it and get someone out to fix it before it became a problem.

I have an annual contract with them. They do good work and reasonably priced. I have used them for years and have no plan to change.

He is very dependable. They come when they say they are going to come, and they get the job done. Their prices are very reasonable.

They do excellent work! I am writing to express my gratitude for the excellent work that Bob Lenc Landscaping and Lawn Care did for me. My front yard looks great! I watched as the crew worked hard, rarely taking breaks, and they always cleaned up after the day was done. Others have spoken about Bob Lenc doing a wonderful job on a rain garden. It not only solved a huge problem for them, but it is also very beautiful. Also, others have spoken about Bob Lenc doing a great job installing our irrigation system at a fair price. They have always gotten excellent service from Bob Lenc whenever they called them for landscaping or lawn care work. We are completely happy with Bob Lenc and their employees and service!

I did not use them. It was very difficult because they made an appointment and didn't show up which was not good though they eventually did show up.

It went well. They had to come back because it was too thin, but did a great job.

Our service agent discussed the options for this patch of ground and we agreed sod was the best option. I had already tried seeding the area twice. She gave us an estimate, we accepted it, and the work was scheduled. After the workers left I was upset about one patch that was uneven, but we discovered that what I thought was just a raised area was actually a tree stump under the landscaped stone area near a hedge. Once I had taken care of the stump the team returned to lay the sod over the flattened area. I was not billed until I was satisfied with the work. I would readily call Bob Lenc Landscaping if I wanted other work done in the yard.

I went to Bob Lenc, along with a few other companies, to look for a couple of trees that I wanted in our yard. They had excellent stock, a wide variety, and even came to my house to help place the trees in the yard. While there, they also gave me some great ideas for landscaping around the house. When they came to plant the trees they did a great job and were in and out before I even know they were there.
