My father is 93 and has had all his heating and coolling service provided by Schaal for over 25 years. Recently his central air quit working. He called Schaal and the estimate was WAY too high- they suggested replacing the entire unit.-My husband heard about it, called Bell Brothers and they came out quickly, assesed the situation and discovered that only the condenser needed to be replaced.They gave an estimate- about 1/4 of what Schaal had quoted him-Bell Brothers did the work quickly, stayed true to their estimate and the A/C is in perfect working order. I was very upset that Schaal seemed to try and take advantage of an elderly gentleman. Bell Brothers was So kind to him aaaaaaandthey fixed the problem for MUCH less money. We are nowa Bell Brothers family!!!

They are the regular people I use for heating and air conditioning. It went fine and they were very professional. They also cleaned up afterwards.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT AARON AND KEVIN WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE THEY HAVE NOT ONLY SERVICED THE UNIT BUT EDUCATED US ON BOILERS AND HOW TO ADJUST THE DIFFERENT APARTMENT VENTS TO CONTROL TEMPS BETTER. THEY HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS BECAUSE OF THE JERK WE HAD INSTALL IT BUT THEY HAVE BEEN THERE AND WITH SMILES

John Helmers, Service Technician was very professional, helpful and informative. His attention to detail was very refreshing. I believe he cleaned everything better than any other person has. Final price matched estimate. John was five mins early, good attitude and got right it. Will request John next year.

I paid $90 and that was for an annual inspection of the furnace. They did a very good job. They come when they say they will and they go over what they've done with me. They talk with me and asked a couple of questions, it seems they have a good value.

Called office, schedule appointment, service tech showed up on time and promptly diagnosed and completed service.

When I got back from vacation, I discovered that our AC was not working. I called the first company in the phone book (Golden Rule) to come check things out. The Tech from Golden Rule told me I needed a new AC unit. I didnt argue because the unit is 22 years old, so I started getting quotes. Three different companies came out before the Bell Brothers rep finally was able to come out. When the Bell Brothers Sales Rep came out to give me a quote on a new AC unit, he took a quick look at the old AC unit and said that he didnt think there was anything wrong with my existing unit. He called up a tech to come out, and the tech said that the issue was with my furnace and not the AC unit. The tech also told me that any decent tech couldve taken one look at my unit and noticed that there was no problem with it. He said its old, but its still kicking strong. He fixed my furnace issue and fixed a freon leak that he also noticed. The Bell Brother tech then reloaded my freon tank and I had AC within two hours of the Sales Rep showing up. The moral: If you have a HVAC problem, Bell Brothers should be the 1st on your list to call. Their sales rep and technician saved me $3000+ just because they knew what they were doing. They are the most knowledgable in Des Moines.

They had been servicing my old furnace and air conditioner. My air conditioner was 41 years old. The last two years they kept it running until I could make a decision about a new one. The salesman explained all these different systems and he did a really good job. The installation was very professional and they also had financing which was very attractive, at three years no interest.

They send out a reminder in advance so I am reminded to call them. They set up a two-hour window to come out and perform service. You can set it up so you are the first appointment of the day so you do to have to sit around and wait on them forever. A lot of them employees have been there a long time.

I have a service contract with them. They provide excellent service and have good response. If it is not an emergency, I can always set up the first call in the morning so its predictable and know when I’m able to get to work. I have no plans and any reasons to change the provider.

They are an excellent company with a well known name. They have been in business for a long time. I really like them.

The serviceman arrived when scheduled and wore booties when he came into the house. He took extra time to repair some burnt wiring and he used a camera to check for cracks in the heat exchanger. He picked up and vacuumed after he was finished.

They have installed a furnace in the past and I am happy with their services. I received an estimate from someone else for the job, but chose Bell Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. as they were a little cheaper. They were competitively priced and their services rendered were as promised. They were responsive and punctual for the job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Sevice tech was on time, professional and took time to explain everything. However, he said that our central humidifier (attached to the furnace) was shot and needed to be replaced. His quote to do so was $400 plus. Had a handyman friend of mine look at it this afternoon. He unhooked the water line, cleaned everything out and put it back together and everything is working fine.

They did a really poor job of installing the air conditioner. They used some of our bricks that we had put on our driveway that we were going to use for landscaping to even out the air conditioner. We had to have them come back every year for three years in a row to fix the air conditioner after it was installed. We just weren't happy at all.

We had a good overall experience. Our request for service was not due to any observed problems with our home furnace system, nor did the contractor discover any problems during their visit. The technician performed a thorough cleaning, inspection and servicing of our furnace system. The technician was professional in his conduct and interaction with us.

The repairman came to my house and looked at our furnace. He said that the motor would need replaced. He replaced it in a reasonable amount of time. This was in February and I appreciated that they sent someone out in a timely manner. Our family has used Bell Brothers in the past and they are always professional and they do good work. Recently they had to come out and look at the furnace. because it was making some noise. The repairman tightened up some things on the motor and it was fine after that. The motor has a warranty on it so I was not charged for the service that day. Also, they got someone out to my house very quickly when I spoke with someone to make an appointment.

The employee was friendly and called back when he said that he would. The part cost a lot more than we had anticipated, and there is no way to know if you are being charged a fair price.

My experience with them was very good. I was very happy with them. They did a very thorough job. There were no extra charges. There were no surprises. Everything was what we negotiated.
