Appliance Repair, Delivery Service, Pool and Spa Service
About us
May contact through email or phone. My company primarily offers service/repair for all brands of hot tubs and spas. From electrical and plumbing repairs to replacement parts, new covers, spa accessories, used spas, spa moves, haul aways and much more. I have been in the spa business for over 12 years now and recently started up my business in November of 09. I have worked on many brands over the years and can normally get parts for just about anything. I offer fast reliable service at a fair rate. My labor charges are $75 per hour but if you mention Angie's List you will receive a $10 discount per hour. I also charge a trip charge which is determined by location. I soon will be offering chemicals for shipment.

At first, everything went fine. Jordan, the owner of All Makes Spa Services, came and checked out our spa and fixed our pump, as well as did some maintenance work. At this point, he told us to start filling the spa and to let him know right away, if anything leaks. He also stated that we needed new filters. We paid for the services and the filters (the price of the two filters was about $110). I called Jordan a couple of times, during the process of filling the spa, due to some leaking, which he quickly fixed. During our first few days or so of working together, Jordan was very prompt with returning calls and answering any questions that I had. He also said that he would be back within the next week to bring by the spa filters that we paid for ahead of time. Sadly, this is the point where our business relationship went south. We never heard from him again. I have called him many times since June 2017 and have not even once heard back from him for over 2 months. I still haven't received the filters, for which I had paid ~ $110. Additionally he hasn't finished putting the siding back up on the spa, that he had left open in order to watch for any leaking during the process of filling the spa. In conclusion, I am very dissatisfied with the service provided. What started out as a good experience has ended up turning into a nightmare from a customer service viewpoint. I cannot understand why Jordan chooses to ignore our phone calls. It's as if he has chosen to just steal the $110 we paid for the filters.
Description of Work: We have a Dimension One swim spa that had been winterized (by a different company) in about October of 2015 and needed some maintenance work done, in order to get it back up and running in June of 2017.

We recently purchased a hot tub from a friend. The Friend hired this guy to totally check out the tub. Our friend paid him $300.00 to check out the tub and he replaced a heater for that amount which you can buy online for less than $30.00. This repair guy also agreed to move the tub to our home for a fixed price and hook up the electrical. He delivered the tub and then charged us a higher rate for the tub move claiming it was more difficult than he thought. (Moving the tub was very straight forward) He refused to fill the tub for us as he said it wasn't perfectly level. He told us we would have to pay to have it leveled and he knew someone who could do that but they never called us. We went to another brick and mortar Spa business in town and they told us it would be no problem to fill the spa with it only being off by 1/4 of an inch. After we filled the spa the pump would not pump the water. The tub was in bad working order with multiple jets not operating correctly. When we called him back to complain he told us he would have to charge us for another service call and could not get back out to us for several days. This guy obviously doesn't care about his customers or quality service. This guy likes to overcharge what he quotes. To pay $600.00 to move a tub less than 20 miles away, hook up the electric and replace a heater is just plain outrageous I will never use this guy again.
Description of Work: Check out hot tub that was being sold and make sure it is in good working order. Also move the hot tub from location to location and hook the electrical up. He also sold us a new filter for $40.00 which you can buy online for $20.00.

Response from All Makes Spa Services
This customer's charges weren't $600 to move his spa. He was charged $275 to move his spa and $39.95 for his filter. The charges to repair his heating element and other services were charged to and paid by the person that he had purchased the spa from. I was called to move his spa and hookup electrical. After getting the spa in place the spa was rocking back and forth since the concrete was so unlevel. I will not fill any spa when the conditions are that bad. I have also included the email I had sent to the customer after seeing his comments which I was totally shocked to see. He had seemed very appreciative for my services. Hi, I received a phone call from someone at Angies List today and I started an account. After doing so I seen the comments that you had posted regarding myself and the services I offer. I was very disappointed to see this since I thought I had provided services above and beyond what you were asking for. First of all the only business we did together was the spa move and the sale of the filter. The services provided to the previouse owerner of the spa were done through another company which i do work for. I have no control over what is charged for parts/services, service calls through their company . Which they have never received any phone calls from him being unhappy about his charges. They do not do spa moves which is why they reccommended my company to him to complete the spa move. The services I was asked to complete for you was to pick up a spa and deliver it to your house. I had explained over the phone to you that this would cost around $250 (which is a very reasonable price). You can call around to local spa companies and you'll find that my charge was a fair price. You also had said we could just slide the spa right on to your concrete pad and didn't mention the pillars (which were an obvious obstacle) requiring the spa to go through on its side. If I had been told of this I could of brought different equipment which would of made that alot easier. I could of brought a cart that wouldn't of required the spa to be rolled over on the corners. The extra $25 was party due to that, and the extra time we spent after setting the spa. I had explained to you before the delivery that we would set the spa, hook up the electrical, and any additional time to fill, show you how to use it, etc., was to be at a rate of $65 per hour. As you know we did have additional time there after setting the spa and hooking up electrical. So an extra $25 was fair for the time invested. The reason we didn't fill the spa was explained to you while we were there also. The base of the spa was atleast 1/2" off of the ground. I was looking out for you since I have seen this done in the past resulting in a cracked shell. I've seen this happen in better built spas in a similar situation. Thats why I tried to emphasize the importance of this problem. It's a very bad idea to fill a spa when there is a gap between the base of the spa and the concrete. If you read any manufacturers warranty this will be explained. Most warranties are usually void when spa is set on a improper surface. I do not offer any services for leveling spas. The person that was mentioned to you (for help leveling) was told not to call you. You called me that night and had already filled the spa. Therefore there was no reason for him to call you since you had already chose against properly leveling your spa. We didn't push him on you, we were simply trying to help you with your situation and had someone in mind that would be able to assist. The sale of the filter for $39.95 is also a very reasonable price. Your filter is a C4950. You can call around some spa stores in town and find that $39.95 for that filter is also a good price. You said you found a filter online for $20 but probably doesn't include shipping. You know as well as I do that you can find just about anything cheaper online than buying local. Any parts sold by a company obviously have mark up since this keeps them in business. If we sold parts for cost we wouldn't be around to help you. Any problems with the spa were fixed at time of service at the previous owner's house. Any problems with the jets that aren't working are most likely due to the construction of your spa. They are not built the best and they move around alot more (since not being insulated very well) which may have kinked a line or something while moving. You being upset with me because of your spa having problems makes no sense. You purchased a older spa and your going to have issues with these sometimes. The day you filled the spa you called me when you were having problems getting it started. I advised you how to get the airlock out of the pump and you were able to get that problem taken care of with my help. If i remember right you were calling me pretty late and I continued to help you over the phone, which I know most spa stores weren't open at that time of night but I continued to try to help you. You also mentioned the problem with a jet not working and I had told you that I could help you but I would have to charge you if I needed to come back to your house. I hope you understand that for a spa service company to stay in business that they need to charge for their services. I have been in the spa service business for over 8 years and been in business for myself since November of 09. I have never had a complaint of my services whether when being an employee or since working for myself. I try to provide the best service possible at a fair yet competitive rate. It does upset me to see negative things said about me and my company. Especially when the complaints are due to lack of knowledge and you maybe not expecting everything that comes with purchasing and owning a used spa. I hope everything works out for you and your spa. I wish you would have called me and we could have talked about this before you started posting negative things about my company. I understand everything didn't go as smooth as you might have expected but your disappointment shouldn't be directed towards me. Thanks, Jordan
