A-1 ELECTRIC

I received a free estimate which was completed within several days from the time I made the original call. The estimate was clear and I was able to schedule the actual work within days from receiving the estimate. The work was completed quickly an the electrician was very professional. They did the work for the estimated price and I was happy with the quality of the work. I will certainly use A-1 again when I have the need for electrical work.

It went very well. The technician was knowledgeable and able to correct problems and did explain what was being repaired.

For estimate, representative (John) showed up on time, was thorough, and emailed me their quote the same day. We set up our appointment the next day without hassle. For the appointment, the crew showed up early (at 7:45 am, better early than late or not at all) and were quick but complete in their work. We passed our electrical inspection without issue. The crew wrapped up at around 2:00 pm and we were told that the power company would be out later in the day to hook us back up. By 6:45 pm we still had no power, so we called the power company and were told that there was not a reconnect order in the system. The power company sent someone out and got us hooked up by about 8:15 pm and everything has been fine since. I don't know if the power company or our installers were at fault, but all things considered, it is not a big deal. Will definitely do business with them again, but if we have to have our main cut, I will make sure to call the power company myself.

It was great. The electrician (I can't remember his name!!) showed up on time and had the job done in 2.5 hours. He also had to use a really small scuttle hole to access the attic. I was pleased with the service and the price and would use this provider again.

Called A-1 on Monday morning. John was out that afternoon to provide an estimate. Mike was then there at my place the next afternoon. Within a couple of hours Mike had hooked up the new laundry room. John and Mike were both really nice guys, professional, and got the job done. I will certainly use them again here in the upcoming future.

Rocky did a very good job and did a few extra things to help me. He kept on a daily schedule and kept things picked up daily. The job did take longer than first estimated because they only had one man available. But his good work made it worth the extra days.

Work took about 3 days to complete. Minimal electrical disruptions as circuits were moved from old panel to new panel. Electrician answered all questions I had while work was being performed and explained process as electric company and city has to inspect/perform/approve work. Electrician showed up on time for work. After work was completed, electric company moved overhead wires to new service entrance. The city inspector was by about 2 hours later and certified work with no issues found. Actual work took about 3 days (Monday-Wednesday). Electrical company and city inspector was by on Friday to move overhead wiring to new service entrance and certify work performed.

When John first came out to look at the job and do the bid, he spent extra time to make sure the location of the heater would work. After some scheduling delays that were as much my issue as A1's, the service was performed. The courtesy of the electrician was outstanding and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. We are very pleased with how effectively it heats the area. This is the second time we have used A1 and we would call on them again without hesitation.

Very competent!!! Instructed us on which things were most important to correct or replace and which could wait. Not bothered by the challenges of an old house. We felt we could trust this company to charge a fair price and do good work...and they did.

Service was completed next day after I called A-1. Rocky was punctual and very professional. He pointed out some other electrical problems at the breaker that needed to be corrected for safety. Overall, my impression of A-1 is that they are top class electricians that do high quality work at a reasonable price. I will be calling them in the future...

John (the owner) came to my house (he arrived at the time he said he would), inspected my gas line, and gave me a verbal bid of $100 to $200 to complete the job. I agreed to hire A-1 for the job. John came to my house on 12/04/2012 and said someone would be at my house at around 2:00 PM on Thursday (12/06/2012). At 2:00, Charlie (with A-1) arrived at my house and completed the job in a little over 1 hour. Charlie was friendly and professional in his demeanor and wasted no time completing the job. The bill for the job was $99.06. I was completely satisfied with my experience with A-1 and plan on using A-1 for any future electrical service I may need.

The work was professional and cost less than the phone estimate. We were very pleased with their prompt work! I would definitely recommend them for electrical work!

They responded quickly. I had to call him a second time for a different property, but he told me some things to try first, which worked. He saved me a service call. Many companies wouldn't do that.

John was very honest when providing his proposal as well as his electricians who completed the job. All the electrical repairs required passed Mid-American Energy Inspection as well as Urbandale, IA inspection meeting all local, state and federal codes. I received 3 estimates from 2 other electrical services but chose John with A-1 Electrical due to his honesty. I feel safe and confident in A-1 Electric and would recommend them to all my friends and family.

My overall experience was good. The owner came into give me a quote and followed the plans I had, but also made helpful suggestions to the project and made adjustments as need to meet building code. The electrician came in and was very professional and did the work quickly and accurately.

The owner came and gave me a bid. We arranged a time for the work, and they were there about 5 minutes early, they completed the work in a timely manner, we settled the bill and they left. No surprises, or problems during the whole process.

He gave me options, and priced the job accordingly. His electrician arrived the day of install as planned, and John took care of all permits, and power company scheduling. They were done in less than 4 hours. The electrician was very professional, and conscientious of making sure to do things properly. They arrived with all needed parts.
