Description of Work: Rocky did a great job installing a new / additional electrical panel and running wiring over finished ceilings and down walls for new electrical in floor heating being installed in my lower level. They did a great job minimizing damage to the walls which made the access holes for the 5 heat zone system easy to repair.

Description of Work: I had done the majority of the wiring for our basement finish myself, but I had a few things I needed an electrician for. Charlie was extremely helpful, worked efficiently and answered all of my questions very thoroughly. I cannot say enough good things about him and I highly recommend him and A-1 Electric!

Description of Work: Replaced the breaker panel, updated the wiring in the basement, replaced all outlets that needed it, updated outdoor outlets with grounding and outdoor covers, found and fixed an issue with the downstairs lights. They did the work fairly quickly, though it was a spur of the moment job. The workers were polite, they tested the outlets throughout the entire house and made sure everything was up to code. They also made sure the city permit was gotten and Energy inspectors were in the loop the whole way. Very responsive, thorough and quality work.

Description of Work: We had our garage rewired as the old wiring was not up to code and had failed recently. They were very meticulous and made sure everything was done correctly... they had the city inspector come out afterwards and he was happy with the job too. Overall we are happy with A-1 and would recommend them and will hire them for future repairs.

Description of Work: We were changing a wall light fixture in a bathroom. When we removed the old fixture, we found that there was not one of those round box things that should have been there. The old one was just screwed into the drywall. My husband didn't think he could do the box. So I started calling electricians that had been on Angies List. A-1 was the first one that could come out. We had the guy go ahead and install the new fixture after he fixed the original problem. Extremely professional and efficient. |I couldn't believe the low price. I will definitely use these people again.

Description of Work: IArriving 2 weeks sooner then anticipated they installed a bath fan with duct and soffit outlet, Ran new wiring thru the attic for 2 new closet lights, 3-way switch in the kitchen, re-arranged 3 switchs into a more sensible order, and found a way to properly wire a switch for the exterior garage light . Bottom line: Mr Keltner was very pleasant, patient, and did a fine job. You should hire A-1 !!!

Description of Work: John came out very quickly after my initial call. We wanted to get a few items up-to-code prior to putting our home on the market. John took the time to point out things that may draw the attention of a home inspector. We discussed many different items and John went on his way. We got our proposal within two business days and we felt that the quoted price was fair. Rocky showed up on the agreed upon day and began the work. The total job took a little more than two days, during which John came to assist on several of the tasks. Both Rocky and John were very friendly, and both worked very diligently. I even added a couple of minor items during the job, and was given a fair price for these additional items. Rocky was pleasant, and took the time to answer all of my many questions. We are very pleased with the completed work, and were invoiced exactly as quoted (minus the Angie's List member discount). I would definitely recommend A-1 to my friends and family and will use them again for my future electrical needs.

Description of Work: I was fortunate my problem turned out to be a GFI that went bad. Mario of A-1 was right on time (6:30 a.m, which allowed me to get to my job on time), assessed the problem efficiently and fixed it in less than an hour and on his way. I will not hesitate to use A-1 in the future.
