This is the first time I used their services and my overall experience with them has been fine.

I have been using A+ Lawn & Landscape for the past three years and plan to use again in the future.

The job started out good with a very conscientious worker but he was pulled off after 2 days and replaced with 2 other workers and it just went downhill from there. I saw the original materials. The materials the replacement workers came out with were not the correct materials in color or style but were used anyway. The workers said they noticed the wrong materials were on the flatbed but had no choice and had to use them.. The bricks for the parking were red and black and clashed with the tan stone wall---I didn't notice the bricks were the wrong color until half had been put down. The bricks were supposed to be brown. The men forgot to put a small flower bed on one end of the parking in the rock area, and I had to remove the rock and do it myself. The dirt that was put in to fill out the lawn behind the retaining wall is higher than the rest of the lawn is and creates a hump in the lawn. I was supposed to get bullet blocks to surround the tree and a flower bed but got plain, cheaper bricks. And the bricks move around since they don't lock together like bullet blocks. The river rock surround around the tree base is too big. I wasn't asked before the grass was cut away. In the side yard the stepping stones were supposed to be 18" square but I got 12" square stones and was not told. I discovered it after half were already down, and then was told the bigger blocks were not available. The men came out in a heavy rainstorm to work on the side yard, adding dirt for more slope away from the house and the river rock. A stupid day to do that. The men could not work with the dirt and could not keep their balance and said they needed compost instead. I was charged $450.00 more for that compost and the dirt was taken back. No refund on the dirt. And the slope/grade doesn't look any different than before. Grading was impossible to do in heavy rain. The men laid down landscaping fabric but used small pieces to patch areas---like 6" by 6" pieces, tiny pieces just to cover the spots of dirt that weren't covered. So many of them and that seemed assinine and chintzy---why not use bigger, overlapping pieces? The river rock was filled with a lot of dirt (mud) so that mud went down on top the fabric. The original estimator didn't figure in lawn edging to contain the rock. Experience should have taught him that edging was needed. But the workers used a scrap they had that covered a few feet in the worst area. I saw they had cut off about 3 feet and asked why they didn't use the whole piece, and they just shrugged their shoulders. Didn't make sense. So rock spills out under the fence and into the neighbor's yard and my yard. Just very poor work. No concern for the homeowner or how the job was done. No communication, no professionalism. And I would never recommend A+ to anyone, even for their lawn service. Their lawn guy last year sowed so much grass seed into a creeping phlox flower bed that half the flowers have to be ripped out. And the chemicals burnt my lawn brown---had to grow out again. I still have a large area of bare dirt in back yard after 3 years of the service.

This company is still doing on-going work in our yard, spraying for weeds, fertilizing the lawn, and will plug the lawn this fall. I am very disappointed with their service. The technician sprayed our front yard with fertilizer when it was supposed to rain. It rained for only 2-5 minutes; therefore, the fertilizer burned the grass. Our front lawn looks worse than when we started with this company. We called the technician to come out. He said the "brown spots" were due to a fungus. It is not! He burned the grass with too much fertilizer. Also, he killed one of our Iowa hibiscus trees in our back yard. The same technician also sprays our neighbor's yard, and also killed one of our neighbor's trees in their back yard. Our neighbor also had "brown spots" in both yards due to over-fertilizing. We still have weeds - all this after 3 applications. Another friend recommended this company, and they almost destroyed her yard, killing the grass and plants along each side of her property and in the back part of her back yard. We want to have the lawn plugged this fall so will continue our service with them, but will not use this company next year. We are very unhappy.

I'd say the technicians that I work with are very, very friendly and easy to work with. The sales team that I've dealt with are always willing to help you out.
