 + -1 moreThis was such a convenient way to get my lawn mower a needed tune up and blade sharpening. Price was comparable to other places where I would've had to take the mower in but I didn't have to haul my mower anywhere - A+ came to my house, took the mower on their trailer, completed the work and put the mower back in my shed when they were done. Ran much better afterwards (had been stalling out previously) and the blade sharpening made a big difference. I'll likely have them come out annually and do this same service.

 + -1 moreFound out by Nate after a no call no show the week prior the system was shut down incorrectly in the fall and to his own admission they were in error. I am thankful for his honesty. Nate got our system working but still stood us up on 2 occasions. The last one was when he would show us how to use the new dial installed. I think they are short on help but with these shortcomings I cannot recommend. The lawn service has been great, just not the irrigation part.

 + 0 moreWe had used A+ Lawn for our annual lawn treatment service for several years and we were pleased with the service provided so we hired A+ to do a landscaping job. The work provided for the landscaping project, however, was poor. The initial work done was shoddy but the designer was satisfied with the job. We felt his expectations were quite low for the quality of work done and the job would have been left as it was had we not pointed out the problems. It was obvious there were problems as the second time the work was done was much better. We had to work too hard to make sure the work was done right. We are still not 100% satisfied with the job but A+ refuses to correct the remaining problems. In short, the service we received for the money we paid did not meet our expectations. Also, communication for when the workers would be doing the work was lacking. We wanted to be home when they came back for the corrections and it was very difficult to get them to let us know a time so we could plan to be off work. They have been good about warranty work and have replaced some plants that were dying.

The people we arranged things with was easy to talk to & friendly Sales person was professional but the crew not so much.After service was completed they should followup with customer, we had to go to them. I probably will not use service provider again.

 + 0 moreI had to call 3 times last year for them to kill crabgrass that their initial spring treatment didn't kill. On their 3rd visit they killed the crabgrass and all of the surrounding grass. The chemical used left all the dead areas bright white for about 2-3 weeks. Embarrassing. I attempted to cancel in the spring but the owner talked me into staying after offering free overseeding and aerating in the fall. He said he would have someone out asap this spring for monthly treatment. I called 3 times and on each occasion I spoke directly with the owner Mark and still nobody came. The previous 2 years I used this company the 6 treatments were very sporadic too. I had to call on several occasions to remind them to come out after not hearing from them for 6+ weeks at a time.

 + 0 moreWe are still looking for some kind of resolution to the differences in the actual work performed against that which was quoted.
Description of Work: This was a simple spring cleanup. In addition we included mulching. The quote was for 37 hours of work and 80 bags of mulch . Three guy showed up at 9 o'clock and left by 1:30 This of course was only 13.5 hours of work . I tried several times to get a hold of the rep and finally caught her between meetings . I do not think she was expecting my call . When I asked what happens when they finish the work early she gave me a pretty awkward story about the use an average rate and that they would not charge me more if it went over the 37 hours . When I told her it was only about 15 hours and I thought it needed some adjustment she explained hidden fees in the hourly "they couldn't go away but that she would take a look at it when she went back to the office . As for the 80 bags of mulch they used approximately 60 I was able to get them to throw the remaining 20 into the backyard so that I could use them later . The hourly rate in this area fully loaded is $44 an hour , but this is for work that is actually performed If I calculate their hourly rate based on the hours spent it's actually around $108 per hour. This is simply unbelievable to me

 + 0 moreOne crew started, and never saw those people again. The second crew came and finished, there never was an communication. The second crew did not do what I had asked the first crew to do. I expect more service, for what I paid. They were hard workers. They got the job done. That was positive. The negative, was communication of the different crews. This was poor service. The two different crews did not communicate. Not based on this experience, I would not recommend them. The first experience with them I would.
Description of Work: Trimming the lilacs in the back yard, and they worked on the side of my house. Trimmed bushes, and lilac bushes.

 + 0 moreThe manager never took the charge off my account. I was billed for it every 30days for three months. I called in each time that I got a bill. Then they turned my account over to a collection agency. That was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. I finally got them to remove the fraudulent charge. I had used them for 10 years but after this I no longer use them. I do not recommend them to anyone. Also, I never received an apology for their mistake.
Description of Work: Lawn aeration was set up, and I was on a call ahead account. When the message was left on my phone that they were coming the next day, I called in to cancel because I had not raked my lawn yet. I left a message on their answering machine. They did not come to aerate my lawn but billed me for the service. Every time that I got a bill, I called in and had to leave a message because by the time I got the mail it was after hours. I finally talked to a manager that said that he would take the charge off but he never did. I told him that if he sent someone out to look at my lawn that it would be obvious that it had not been core aerated.

 + -1 moreI called and asked for a quote for weekly mowing service at our home. We have a rather large and unusual yard, so I had someone meet me at the house in person. They made and kept the appointment and said they would be back to me in the next day or so with a quote. but it has been 10 days and I still don't have a cost estimate. I called them earlier this week, left a message asking for the quote - someone promptly called me back and told me the quote was finished and on his desk and that he'd call me back as soon as he was back at the office. 3 days later and still nothing.

They did a soil sample and recommended fertilization and some things to correct the pH of my lawn. I am not sure what was different, but every year my lawn has improved and I now have one of the nicest lawns on my street.
