Description of Work: Last summer Dave Serrano installed a new radio and XM auto kit in my car. He did a good job. So on March 14th 2015 I took my pickup to him to have an XM auto kit installed. He tried several times to find an electrical source but kept blowing a fuse. Finally after many failed attempts the truck would not start. Nothing happened when I turned the key. Dave was unable to diagnose or fix the problem | |I called a tow truck and had it taken to the dealer. Dave said that instead of installing the auto kit there was a satellite module available that could be installed under the dash. I told him find out how much it cost and let me know. | |Dave contacted me several times on March 14th and 16th to inquire about the pickup. He seemed genuinely concerned. On March 17th I told him it cost me $114 to fix it. He said the module cost about $300 and because of the cost to fix my truck he would "make it right with me". I told him to order the module and let me know when he received it. I also said I wanted it installed before I went on vacation on April 9th. Dave said it wouldn't be a problem. I called him a week before I left for vacation. He said hadn't received the module because there was a mix up by the vendor regarding which account to bill. He said he would call me when he received it and again said he would have it installed before I went on vacation on April 9th. On April 2nd I called him to ask for a status and left a voice mail. That was the last time any contact was made. I have yet to hear from Dave Serrano. | |I ended up having XM installed by someone else. |
