+ -1 moreThe crew was punctual, arriving even earlier than expected. Except for a 30 minute lunch break, they worked hard all day, finishing about 4 o'clock . They came back on the next business day to finish. Both days the cleanup was very well done. Not one nail, old shingle, or piece of wood was left on my property. On the first day, the foreman found some rotted wood from a leak in the existing roof. He took pictures of the damage and came down to talk to me about what needed to be done. The second day was Halloween, and the owner Steve, called to ask me if I needed them out of the way for the trick-or-treaters. I found all of the people involved to be exceptionally responsive, professional, and hard workers. I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm glad I hired River Cities Roofing, and I would highly recommend them for any one who needs a roof.
Description of Work: Needed a roof on my house, plus repair of holes in the existing roof.

Description of Work: They responded immediately to my request. Sent Ken out to analyze the problem with the roof. Gave us a quote via email, we accepted, and Ken fixed the problem within a day of acceptance. We would definately recommend their services to anyone needing a repair of their roof.

+ 0 moreWe as home owners were surprised to learn that there were three layers of shingles with almost two inch nails. The men worked well together. Everyone knew their job and worked hard. The back half of the roof was done the first day and the remaining front was finished the following Monday. Every nail and scrap was picked up and hauled away when done, all that was left was the new roof. Also I was very impressed with how River Cities was organized and efficient in how the work was done.
Description of Work: Removed three layers of shingles, re-roofed. Replaced back porch roof with rubber sheet.

Before I awarded the job to River City Roofing, Steve explained exactly what he was going to do and when he thought he could do it. He is professional and courteous and did everything he said he was going to do, plus a few extra things to make sure other areas of the roof were not compromised. One thing really stood out when dealing with this company. Steve communicates very well and if he said he was going to call me, he would call me. Contractors have a reputation of being very difficult to get ahold of and keep you informed. Steve did a very good job of this and always let me know if there was a problem or an issue. He started the job exactly as he said he would. I am very happy with the work he performed and I would encourage anyone who is considering hiring him to do so.
Description of Work: Steve's crew repaired a leak in one of the valley's of my roof.

+ -1 moreI got a 4 to 5 estimates, most didn't even give me a time of day because they said project was to small. The price was the best out of the 5 estimates. Also i liked the reviews he got on here. The crew was really good and fast, and did a good quality job. Also did a really good job cleaning up, I will be using him for now on for my roofing in future.

Description of Work: We had leaks in the roof and I asked the roofer to give me an estimate on repairs or a new roof. He was very courteous and responsive, inspected the roof, and took photographs of damaged areas and explained them to me. He recommended a new roof and I agreed. His crew did the work promptly, efficiently, and very neatly. Contrary to my previous experience with roofers, they did not leave debris and nails all over the place. They did an excellent job, and we have had no further leakage problem since the job was finished.

This year we had them put new roofs on our work shop / garage, the ice house and our barn. As was done previously we received excellent and professional service. The employees are courteous and professional, they arrive on time and do an excellent job. The job was started on time and was completed on time. After the job was done they completely cleaned the area. The roofs look great and we are very happy with the service and work.

Description of Work: They replaced roofing and bad plywood and boards on front porch area and carport. Also replaced main support beam under carport roof. They did exactly what I wanted done and did quality work. Steve (the owner) and a couple of his guys did the job. They were very professional, did the job in 2 days, did a VERY thorough clean-up and followed through on everything he told me he would do.(time and date of estimate, start date, and finish date.) I highly recommend RIVER CITIES ROOFING AND MORE and would certainly use them again. GOOD JOB STEVE!!!

+ -1 moreSteve was very professional and courteous during the estimate. He pointed out the problems with my attic ventilation that had caused my roof sheeting to rot and mold. He gave me a very reasonable estimate that made sure all of the ventilation problems would be solved. I signed the estimate and was told it would probably be more than a month before they could come and do the job because of the rain and the line of other customers he had waiting. When I noticed my roof leaking I called him to ask if he could do it sooner. He offered to tarp the leaking half of the roof until he could do the job. We didn't need to tarp it because he came out 2 days later and started the job. The workers were efficient and polite throughout the job process. It only took a day +3 hrs to finish the job and clean up. Clean up was very good. I have not seen a single nail in my yard. I did have to have my satellite company re-install the dish. That was not included(and specifically excluded from) in the contract. Upon payment in full I received the warranty card for the life time warranty shingles that was already filled out for me and ready to sign.
Description of Work: Removed all rotten sheeting and 1 layer of shingles. Installed 1/2" plywood(not OSB board), installed Owens Corning Duration shingles and ridge vent, Installed ice and water dams, installed edge flashings, removed satellite dish, replaced all soffit vents(11), bleached moldy rafters, installed 1 bath fan vent on the roof, clean up job site.

He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable, He provided a copy of his insurance and a professional looking contract. When we signed the contract he made a date to start the work and he did not require a down payment. The work was started on time, his employees were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The work was completed on time, the area was cleaned and everything looks great. We will have River Cities Roofing reroof our barn in the spring of 2013.

+ -1 moreRepair time took only a couple of hours, but they looked like they knew what they were doing and they did it quickly.
Description of Work: Repaired three spots on my roof where water was causing damage in valleys and around chimney. Roof is only ten years old, original cost of $4,500. Other contractor gave me an estimate of over $2,000 to repair WITHOUT even getting up on roof. River Cities Roofing came out right away, physically got up on roof to give estimate, gave me a written estimate the same day and was able to schedule an appointment and do the work within a reasonable amount of time.

+ 0 moreMy thoughts are to call as many roofers as necessary to find one that treats you well. Yes, it is a pain to have people on your roof several times a day , but, in the long run, you become informed with the way they will treat your home. Research the products on the net, look for recommendations. I visited other homes repaired my River Cities. Several companies refused to supply me a list, they were out that second. Make sure the company has insurance and will get the proper city permits.
Description of Work: After several limbs went down during wind storm I was left with several large holes in my roof which required replacement of the entire roof. Many many estimates later, I chose River Cities Roofing. The owner gave me my estimate, explained his policies, no "salesman" attitude. Several of the other companies were out of line for price; others were talking down to me as the older female homeowner. Others were untruthful, as if the internet were not available to research the products. River Cities has been in business many years, a significant fact to me. They provided addresses of homes currently under repair for me to visit. Everything said on the estimate checked out. I saw a sample of the products. Plus, I was treated well; landscaping was covered/all plants came through unscathed. And, I have tons of plants. Daily there was cleanup, no debris left behind to cause injury to my pets. Also, they repaired my inside garage ceiling as an extra request at a fair cost. The roofers were congenial and fast. I recommend this company due to reasonable accurate estimate, efficient workers, the way they treated me and my home, with respect and honesty.
