PEEPLES HEATING & AIR COND

Was referred to us by a friend. He didn't know how to check a furnace. Gave us prices that was about $1400 more than it took to repair by another. Only wanted to sell us a new furnace. NO REPAIRS.

Peeples installed a new furnace and central air unit, they were unprofessional, rude and did very sloppy work. I ended up very ill due to a gas leak left by Peeples, After they installed my new furnace I told them of a possible gas leak. Shortly after they show up and gave it a quick look and told me the smell was just extra burn off that these newer furnaces release, because I know nothing of these newer furnaces I took him at his word and continued on. After spending countless hours getting test ran, MRI'S, cat scans the Doctors could find no reason for all these migraines and stomach problems. One day my husband went to the basement and found our cat half dead in front on my furnace and later passed away, she was young and healthy but loved to sleep next to the furnace. After that we were convinced something was wrong so we had it tested by the electric company and there was a decent size gas leak coming right off the front of the new furnace. As a mother of 5 small kids this is frightening, my family could of been seriously injured, our home could of caught fire or worse blown up due to the laziness of Peeples. The contractor who evaluated this problem said the only thing that kept us all from falling seriously ill is that our house had good ventilation and there are no other gas appliances in the basement. The gas effected me the most because of the time I spent working in the basement. If you choose to hire Peeples be wary and check for possible leaks and other problems, my new furnace looks horrible and they seemed to do most there work using silver tape still leaving sharp edges exposed. For obvious reasons, the a/c always dies when you need it most. Called in the morning, Horace was there by early afternoon. We were chilling before 5. He loves to explain what he's doing, what to expect and why. I have learned a lot from Horace Peeples and greatly admire him. He's a bit gruff, bossy and scruffy, just like my favorite professor. His prices and work are consistently excellent.
