+ 0 moreNorthwest performed a gas pressure test on my gas line so that hte utility company would turn my gas back on. They came out, put a pressure meter on my gas meter, left it there for the day, and came back the following day to pick it up. They were at my house for no more than an hour and they charged me $500. I didn't know any better at the time, but any plumber can perform the same test for about $100. It literally took them less than an hour to do the test. They were prompt, professional, and got the job done, but grossly overpriced.

Description of Work: Regarding my review of 4/27/15: The General Manager of the company contacted me and resolved the situation by returning the $30 dispatch fee and explained that that fee shouldn't have been charged. I am completely satisfied with their work and business practices. I will definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreNorthwest did a great job. They arrived promptly, removed and carried away all the old machinery, brought with them everything they needed, and kept me informed during the process. The resulting installation looked good and performed very well. They completed certification to get me a rebate. They were nice to my cats and careful to keep the house as clean as they could. They were about $1000 under budget. I would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Northwest removed the furnace and air conditioner, replaced both along with associated wiring, piping and ductwork.

They might be a little more costly but I gladly pay because all their service people are polite, clean, professional and not scary. I live alone so this is important. I have built up a relationship with this company and intend to use their services forever.

+ 0 moreWay overcharged for the amount of work that was done.
Description of Work: Very expensive! Initially misquoted by dispatcher, not kept appraised of costs by repairman (and I did ask). Wrote down they were here at my house for longer than they were ( yes I timed them) and charged very high labor charges. I had a thermostat and a wire replaced, and could have bought an entire new water heater for what they overcharged me. Initial charge was $600, but after going over the receipts and voicing my concerns, they did bring the charges down to a little under $500. Which, in my opinion, is waay to high for the work that was done. Plus I had to put the cover plate back on, clean up the mess, and left the seat up on my bathroom toilet.
