It went very well.

They did an excellent jonb and I would recommend them highly. There were two crew members and a supervisor handling the work. The showed up on time every day and if there was a set back, they notified me right away. It was about a two week job. They kept me informed every step of the way and resetting my expectations. It was during a rainy time, and they completely covered the floors to not get anything damaged and to stay very clean. They did everything as promised.

The system does not seem to be working right. I have been trying to get them to come back out to take a look it but they are not getting back to me. It took awhile to get a hold of them to set a date for the work to be done in the first place, they seem to be very busy. There were three crew memebers and it took about a day to complete the work.

This is the 3rd time I have used M.A.Basement I had another house next door to this one where they fixed the foundation, This is the second Triple safe pump I had them put into this house as per my request of wanting another one. I think the company is a good company there work is done very well and I would recommend them to anyone. What I would like to see this company do is give incentives to there customers who use them over and over again. My total expenses with M.A. Basement exceeded $15.0000 . Like I said before it is a good company and I believe they will do you a good job.

Once scheduled work was done professionally. Continuous rescheduling. Finally confirmed a date and after checking in the morning they would arrive in the afternoon and taking off work, they did not show. Came on Saturday, but did not finish (not entirely their fault due to rain); they did finish on a Monday. Terrific job in cleaning up. Although the price was high, we are happy so far with the windows & window well and the leaks from the cracks appears to have been resolved.

We have been living in this house for more than 3 years now which was built in 1975. We never faced any issue. This spring, when there was heavy rainfall, we noticed water seepage in the basement through the side walls. I contacted Mid American basement, Absolutely Dry Basement, and Iowa and Illinois Basement services. Mid American Basement had given us the date way out which was 17th August, however, when Ryan visited our neighbor for the same kind of work, he visited us and gave us the estimate. Thanks Ryan, for making that extra effort on your schedule of that day. Out of the three vendors, Mid American Basement were the cheapest and Ryan made all the difference in the three vendors. Thanks Ryan for explaining the process and how the cracks were developed. The bid was awarded to Mid American Basement and they set up the date of July 31st to complete the job. Mike came dot on the clock as time given to us and they completed the work and cleared all the mess before they left. I am pleased with the job done and professionalism showed by the company. There has been no heavy rain after that, so I cannot comment on the success of the job.

Overall the experience went very well. The men were all very polite. They came in and got to work right away. They covered things in the basement to keep dust off of them. They marked out the wall, dug the hole in the yard, installed drainage, cut the hole in the wall, installed a header, installed the window and well, insulated, caulked, and cleaned up. They were very nice guys, apologetic for the noise, and were very professional. I'm not 100% sure of the order things were done in as I tried to stay out of their way. I did peak every once in a while though because I'm nosy. Whenever I did show up they were always happy to see me and explained what they were doing and why. The guys even did things they weren't required to do. The area we had the window installed had a garden with bedding rocks up against that side of the house. We had moved the rocks away from the area the day before and when the guys were done they put the rocks back even though we were told at the initial consultation that they didn't do that. Also, while they were digging the hole my husband wanted to take some of the dirt and redistribute it in the rest of the yard where we had some low lying areas. The guy with the digger loosened the dirt up for him so it was easier for him to move which was greatly appreciated. The week after the window was installed the city inspector came by to check out the work. He said it was a very well done job that he'd have been happy to have in his home. I would definitely use this company again if I needed basement work.

I paid a significant premium compared to competition. I was told by the sales person that there was a strong warranty so when I signed the contract I did not thoroughly review the warranty. Mistake! At the first annual inspection I did review the warranty and was stunned at how weak it is! It does not even warrant the sump pumps!!! leaving that to the pump manufacturers, even though the pumps were purchased by Mid America - not me. There are so many exclusions in the warranty that it leaves MidAmerica with almost no liability and me with the prospect that if THEIR system fails with major water damage I would incur major water damage repair costs. This is not right. MidAmerica installs systems to keep water out of basements. If it fails they should protect their customers from water damage costs. My recent contacts with MidAmerica did not result in any positive revisions to my situation.

Overall I cannot say I was pleased with the outcome. The company came and bid the job with pictures and brochures. We had several bids for this project, and even though MidAmerica was the highest bid, they sold us on a very clean and professionally finished project. Yes, we were sold on this system from the start, but it didn't happen that way. On the first day the crew didn't show up on time, they called and had to attend a company "meeting" which delayed their arrival. I took vacation from my job to be there and they showed little concern for my time by being several hours late. The crew arrived and was very friendly, but indicated that the person who bid the job no longer worked for the company, and they would work with me to get the job done. I was impressed that as they were jack hammering out the basement floor they ran a commercial fan to help pump the dust out of the basement versus letting that dust filter into the house. At the end of the first day thats all they got done was to dig out the basement floor. They did a good job cleaning up and they left. The second day they arrived arount 0900 and started installing the system. I was surprised how thin the Plastic pipe was and even more surprised at how flimsy the wall covering was. We were expecting quality, and it wasn't showing. The installers put in the pipe and the wall coverings, and we immediately were concerned about how the panels were not fastened tightly to the walls, they were bowed out in places and were floppy. This began a never ending conversation with the installers about the number and type of fasteners they were using, and that our house was old and they couldn't get the panels to stay tight. They kept telling me that their fasteners were too short to hold the panels in tightly, so I asked them to get longer ones to do the job. The crew just kept trying to get the short fasteners to hold, which they didn't, and every time I checked on them they were complaining that they didn't have longer fasteners to use! I voiced my concern to the company, and got the royal run around. They insisted on arguing with me that they were doing all that they could to fasten those panels, and that longer fasteners would probably not work either. At no time did I feel that we were getting the service nor the product that was promised to us in the beginning. They pretty much said we were stuck with a crappy installed system. Now remember, they were the highest bid, not the lowest. We expected to get what we paid for, and this wasn't happening. So the crew worked late the second day, and I sent them away because they simply didn't have longer fasteners, and they were just drilling holes all over the panels trying to get them to stay. I did write a check for most of the job, but held back some money to make sure they would return. The crew cleaned up and left about 7 pm. I asked the company to send a different crew with longer fasteners, and later in the week, again I took vacation time off of my job, and another crew came and fastened the panels a little better. The longer fasteners, used in a nice pattern on the panels worked much better than the short ones. They also worked on sealing the panels and tryed to get my radon system sealed up so it would work. By now the installation was done, but their standard of workmanship was poor. Panels were crooked, with many random holes in them where the fasteners were put, and they were loose all over. Many of the joints were not sealed, which didn't make any sense to me, since it was supposed to be an air tight system to insure the Radon system would work. Now the second crew came and did try to remedy the situation, but basically the damage was done. They used over a case of caulking tubes to try and seal up the panels and the track. Imagine what that looks like, and how long will it last. They offer a lifetime warranty on their work, but don't think about the inconvenience of crews returning to work only during prime time from 9 to 5 weekdays. So I paid the balance of the bill and the crew left. I did send the feedback form to the company with my concerns, but as of yet they have not replied. If they do I will update this review. The bottom line is that we expected to get a really nice job for the money we spent, and we feel strongly that we did not. Some may say well this is just a basement, but if thats the case then we were sold short from the beginning. We have the pictures and the brochures with beautifully finished jobs, but ours sure doesnt look like that. Sorry if I offended anyone, but we are the ones who lost out in the end. If you are having basement waterproofing done by this company be sure you know what you are getting before you sign the contract, and make sure you watch what they are doing every step of the way.

It was a great experience. The crew was extraordinarily professional. They did a really good job. Everything was done as exactly as promised. There has been no problem afterwards. Their punctuality, friendliness, neatness were all top quality. They kept their workspace extraordinarily neat and clean. They were jackhammering and pouring cement and that was pretty impressive. They are a little bit more expensive than the other companies in the area but it is actually worth it. They are coming in to install a floor in two weeks.

While it is more expensive than other companies, you get what you pay for. A co-worker had basement waterproofing done by a competitor around the same time I did. 2 months ago we got a very heavy rainfall....3 inches in an hour....my basement 100% dry and comfortable. My co-worker had to have the company out to fix their work, and had to have carpeting replaced (out of her pocket!). And my basement always had the more serious water issues in the past! They are very professional. The crew that came to my house was outstanding. The kept an incredibly clean work area......and they were using a jackhammer and pouring cement!! Their work is of the highest quality, and while is slightly more expensive than their competitors, it is worth the little extra cost upfront to save money and stress later!

So far everything looks good. We are waiting for rain to make sure that everything is taken care of. They did a good job.

We were initially satisfied until we found out there were a number of things that they did wrong or incorrectly and would not come back and fix. They would not return our calls and made promises that they did not follow through on. This company made commitments to show up and then didn't. They also made excuses and never followed through. Their efforts caused damage to a pre-existing part of the house and they won't take responsibility for it. They initially made commitments that they would come back and take care of it then did not follow through. This company stopped taking our calls then claimed they sent an email and they didn't. They said since they did not get a response to their email they figured I was going to take care of the issue myself; when they had already committed to it.
