They were on time. They called and let me know they were on there way. Very polite! Very efficient. Pointed out a couple of issues. Told me other options if I was thinking about new gutters but did not push there product. Would definitely use them again!

In the last month I have had both of these crews working on my patio and basement wall. I asked them questions and they gave good answers. Tim Boudrean, the crew leader on the wall project, took time to explain the whole process of putting up carbon fiber wall supports. The whole crew seemed to know there jobs well and cleaned up good when they were done. I was pleased with the work done. I must say I had one major complaint about the wall job. The agreement I signed stated I must prepare the basement so they would have access to the wall. It was difficult for me because we have a bathroom against part of the wall. I was afraid the bathroom would be destroyed, so I measured the distances that was needed between the carbon braces. (a lot of Youtube research) I figured that the only part of the bathroom affected would be the sink. The sales rep disagreed and said the shower had to be taken out. I gave in and had the shower taken out. The installation crew actually placed the braces almost exactly where I had marked. The shower did not have to be removed. Mid American Basement should have sent an installer instead of a sales rep to verify the placements. It cost me extra to have the shower removed and will cost more to repair the tear down.

I had a wonderful experience with MidAmerica Basement Systems & highly recommend them if your having any waterproofing needs. My project: I purchased my home 3.5 years ago & it started getting water in the basement last year after the outside drainage & tiling system put in my previous owners failed miserably. It would literally be full days of pumping water out of multiple locations in my basement. There were issues of moisture even with two dehumidifiers running & subfloors the crew took out & cleaned up after as well. Scheduling: They will schedule a ways out for appointments but only because it's a high demand working system. Others may be able to offer services quicker but there is likely a reason they are not busy. I got several bids in the time I waited for my MidAmerica Basement Systems appointment & encourage you to as well but definitely wait until after your appointment to make a decision. They were not the cheapest but had the best guarantee (100%), best working system, and a few things I've learned in my 20 years of homeownership is if you go cheap & need to redo it your typically spending more than if you did it right the first time & your home is not something to skimp on or take chances. MidAmerica Basement Systems will send you detailed emails as to what you can expect for each appointment. They will mail you a packet of information regarding different systems that work vs fail & throughly explain the dangers & hazards water/moisture in your home will cause. Our basement got so bad from the Derecho the only dry place was in our basement was the shower & my celing developed black mold quickly from the moisture. Not only did they offer a system to waterproof my basement but a whole house dehumidifier & air purifier which would have saved my ceiling if I had earlier. Sales: I had Justin A for sales & he was very thorough in listening to my problems & needs as well as took his time in explaining & showing me how they could fix my issues, how the system works, as well as answering all of my questions with detail & no hurry. He was absolutely great about changes I made in adding work later on (before my appointment) as well. He doesn't make it feel like a sales pitch, is not pushy at all, & really works to get you the most work in your budget (prep & finish work offered), as well as taking his time with you through the entire process. The office crew: The office staff was very polite & helpful. I mostly worked with Desiree S & Kim B who are extremely responsive in working with me. The Crew: My crew consisted of Brandon T, Sam G, & Ethan T who I highly recommend! These young men are the exact type you want on your project! They are polite, respectful, hard working, efficient, trust worthy & have a great work ethic! They not only got the job done in the time allotted but left my basement incredibly clean which I didn't expect. They thoroughly go over the work before & after as well as answer any questions you have along the way & explain in detail any changes if something isn't to plan before just doing something differently. They called before heading to my house as well which I thought was very courteous. I imagine they have a lot of great workers but anyone I know that I send their way, I'll have them ask for these men as the crew on their home. Overall: Overall I give them 5 stars & they earned it all the way. I will say it's winter so not when one typically gets water in their basement so I am unable to review how the system works fairly. I do, however, plan to leave another review after we get some lovely wet Iowa spring weather or melting of our snow mountains to test it out. More than satisfied with our new crawl space liner. The crew did an amazing job and cleaned up wonderfully. We would hire them again in a minute!!

I am a very happy customer! I want to thank Wes Glasgow for all his help deciding how to solve my problems and answering all my many questions! He is great! I had my basement waterproofed and Alex, Augie, Damon, Ty were wonderful and very accommodating to my needs. My basement is my place of business. It is now dry with the help of my new sump pump, and my Sedona keeps my humidity in check. I also had my bowing wall anchored. It was a source of anxiety to my home and business. Jonathan H and Kevin came in and anchored the wall and put covers over the anchors. They did a super job, the wall looks great, and we feel safe! All "my" men were wonderful! They were efficient, thoughtful, helpful, kind and considerate of me and my business. I would recommend them and the company to my family and friends.

Only two men arrived, 3 hours late, for a three man job installing five basement windows and window wells in my home this past summer. They broke the ceiling sheet rock, overfilled the window boxes with spray foam and shims which bowed the vinyl window frames, inadequately filled the space around the outside window wells so that I had to add 600 pounds of dirt and 10 bags of mulch, and the carpeting on the stairs and the basement floor was a muddy mess since they placed no plastic down before he began. At the end of the job, they filled out the feedback form themselves with all excellent marks, and asked for my signature. Since it was dark and after 9:00 pm when they finished, I signed the form. They had to move on to a hotel 50 miles away to spend the night, so they could be on a job the next morning. All afternoon the two men had worked very hard in the heat and rushed to do a 3 man job. They stated that the third man on their team had quit the week before. As I felt sorry for the two men, I signed the contract, and vowed never to hire a corporate company again. The Moral of this Story: Always hire local companies! I have photos of their work if anyone is interested in seeing proof.

I was called right away but after a few questions they said my project wasn't what they do. However, the rep was nice enough to give advice on what I should do next.

This contractor doesn’t perform the types of work my project required! They did work with me to understand the scope of my project.

My first date to have work done was May 2nd. They had to reschedule to end of June, couldn't come, and then to end of July! In the meantime, July 7th we had a flash flood with a record breaking 7 in. of rain in just over an hour. You guessed it, I got a very wet, carpeted basement. I'm a single woman who works 12 hour shifts. I was not happy to come home to water to clean up the day before I was to leave for a weekend trip. If my new system had been in place, I wouldn't have had to deal with this. The workers and salesman all seemed like fine people but I kept getting emails about my work to be done on May 2 clear until the end of July. The communication is terrible. Now the guy who did the last part of the work, which is still not done, mind you, says he has no idea when they will finish! Yet my first payment is due August 22nd. The quality of work, so far appears to be good, but like I said they are not done yet. It's August 2nd and I have no idea when the job will be completed. I have arranged my schedule for them 4x already, and will apparently have to do it again. Guys were pleasant, cleaned up fairly well, but the customer service stinks. That's why I am giving this company a low 2.5 star overall rating. I expected so much better.

Costly! Incorrect measurement of basement windows delayed installation by months. I had to recaulk inside and out, to reseal. Broken window-slider handle. My continuous calls for window installation yielded, no apology or price break. Once installed payment notice immediately mailed with threat of collections because contract states payment at time of completion. No follow up on warranty, servicing etc of my crawl space encapsulation as promised to me at time of signing contract.

I was under a very strict timetable to have the job done by a certain date. MidAmerica went the extra distance and got the job done on time. Chris was the sales/engineer and did an excellent job explaining the system, helped get the job done on time and followed up to make sure the job was completed properly

The crew with richard / francis were prompt and professional. Work was done as specified , and work area left clean . Work date was kept as communicated thru customer service. I was pleased with the company and the work, I recommend them.
