They set the grade of the garage too low. It was hard to tell until the foundation was in and the apron was poured. Now water from the lot flows onto the concrete apron. They should have set the garage at least 12" higher then it is. Then the water would hav flowed away from the garage instead of it to it. I had to have extensive grading done to the property to solve the problem. They also were careless with their equipment. They drove their trucks onto the property and ruted the lot in several places. Rocks! They used rocks under the slab and apron, but I found rocks everywhere. Finally, for some reason, these guys don't want to send me a final receipt for my final payment. I also asked for lien waviers from their suppliers. I have called and called and every time, Jeff keeps saying "No problem. Get them out right away." I never happened. That has been 6 months. I quite calling because it made no difference. I'm concerned that because of the size of this company, they might not pay their suppliers. They are nice at time of construction, but they don't follow through on the paperwork. They put in a plastic door instead of a steel one. No one puts in a plastic door in a stand alone garage because of the chance of break-ins. A positive for them is that they at least picked up their trash and hauled it away. Do - Make sure you get lien waviers and receipts before making final payment. Have it written into the contract. Do - Check the elevation for the final outcome. They set mine too low. Do - Check your specs. Specify a steel door.
Description of Work: Had them build a 26 X 36 3-car garage. I should have put in the contract to get lien waviers and receipts for each payment.
