Agan Roofing & Repairs

One of the biggest mistakes I have ever made was having Agan Roofing and Repair (Chad Agan), do any work on my home!! The City Inspector found several violations. Chad Agan took my money but did not fix any of the work that was in violation and obviously did not want to. Expect "No Call", "No Show", lots of bogus excuses on why the job is not done and why you are waiting to have your job finished. Also expect the job to take 10 times longer that it should, if it ever gets finished at all. My job took over a month to complete when it should have been done in 2 days. Expect cover ups, short cuts and work not completed as stated. There was supposed to be a ridge vent installed on my roof. Chad didn't have his crew do it and I had to ask him about it. He acted like it wasn't included when it was. When it was installed he did not have enough shingles because he had taken everything left over (that I had paid for) when he thought he was done. I had a leak before his work and still after his work which caused much more damage. I may still take him to court. He should have given me some of the money I paid him back. Double check all credentials, where this company can work legally (Iowa, Illinois) without being a sub-contractor to someone else. Make sure there is a building permit before any work is done. My building permit was dated 2 weeks after he started this job. I think because he wasn't licensed to perform this kind of work in Illinois. He is in Iowa. He did have someone from Illinois take out the building permit in their name and screwed them over royally. Be prepared to contact your attorney. Hire at your own risk!!!!!! I could go on and on and feel like I was taken advantage of and conned!

It was a two week job that took four months to complete. The roof was not tarped during the process so my house got water-damaged. I did get some financial compensation for the water damage.
