Very professional. Sonntag replaced the roof due to age and then we got the hailstorm and we again called them to take care of it. Tyler has been excellent in going thru everything each time. Pictures were taken and submitted to the insurance company. The crew was very good and finished each time the same day. The hail damage also included damage to guttering which they took care of. They did an excellent job with the clean-up. I would recommend Sonntag Roofing to family and friends.

We were SO IMPRESSED with them! Professional in every way from how they dressed when they came out, the job done, to the conversations with the office. The work was completed in less than a day. Everything was clean and sharp in appearance. To top it all off, they were $600 cheaper than their competitors! Don't look anywhere else! 😍

I've had trouble getting service providers to follow through at all. Sonntag contactd me within a day, gave me an estimate and completed the work by the end of the week. Granted I haven't crawled up on the roof to look, but I'm confident my issues are fixed! There were several vents/radon output/shingles that were fixed. I felt the cost was reasonable.

Called before arrival. Repairs documented by pictures of before, during and after work was completed. Reasonable quote. Estimate was adhered to with no additional costs. We needed a total roof replacement due to the hailstorm that occurred this past June. I looked for references from my insurance company but they couldn't provide me any so I was essentially on my own. After doing my research I found a consensus of people who said GAF roof systems were the best so I went to their website and found GAF "master elite" roofers. This accreditation is very difficult to attain (There are only 6 contractors in Iowa). I found Tyler to be the most truthful and honest with the questions I had prior to the start compared to the other 2 master elite contractors that came out. When the crew came out they knocked it out in 1 day and the finished product looked great. Loved the attention to detail with painting the pipes and fans the same matching colors of the shingles! Now I have a great looking roof with class 4 ( hail impact resistant) shingles and new gutters much cheaper than the other guys! And with the warranties that come with shingles and labor my mind is definitely at ease. Thanks again Tyler and crew!

They provided an estimate of the repair cost with lightning speed and had it fixed within the week. The job looked so good you couldn't tell that any shingles had been replaced and it was clearly professionally done. Absolutely 1st quality work

We highly recommend Sonntag Roofing and are very happy with our new roof and new gutter system! I did a lot of research looking for who to hire; I narrowed down the options, interviewed and received four different estimates. Comparing “apples to apples” the quality of the products and the warranties, Sonntag Roofing came in considerably less than the other two higher bids and with better products in some areas and a better warranty too! Tyler was very professional and honest. He answered all of our questions and patiently did an excellent job of walking us through step by step exactly what would happen if we hired them. Because I’m a “detail” person and this was such a large investment he even gave us a list in writing of all the many details involved in replacing the roof… and exactly what products were going to be used, etc. We felt very confident that we knew exactly what we were buying and what we were going to receive. We had to work around the many rain storms in the forecast; Tyler really kept an eye on the weather. We were all set for the work to begin the next day, but then the forecast changed and there was a chance of storms developing. I was so impressed that rather than risking the exposed roof getting stormed on at a bad time, Tyler suggested holding off a few more days. I felt like he really cared about keeping our home safe. He wanted the job done right! he didn’t just want to put a check in his pocket! The day the work began, Mark and his crew showed up exactly when I was told they would and got right to work. They covered the perimeter ground with tarps to catch debris from the roof. Although the wind wasn’t cooperating well, at the end of the day, the crew did an incredible job cleaning up the yard! They did a great job replacing the roof and cleaning up after themselves! Mark was very professional as well. He took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and made sure any questions or concerns got answered. He oversaw the whole project, replaced damaged boards on the overhang, and installed the gutters for us. He is very detail-oriented, like I am, and I really appreciate that! Excellent job! As sometimes happens with construction work, we had a slight mishap - but Mark and Tyler immediately took care of that very professionally as well - with no extra money out of our pocket. Overall, we are very happy! We feel confident that we have a good solid roof on our home now. And the new, wider gutters that Tyler and Mark recommended are easily keeping up with all the storms we have had (unlike the old ones that overflowed!) No leaking, no problems! These guys know how to do the job right! And really care about the customer being satisfied with the work!

Tyler was very professional through the whole process. He was efficient getting me a quote and getting the work scheduled. They were able to get my work done earlier than expected. It was all painless, his crew showed up in the morning, and when I got home from work, I had a new beautiful roof, and they vented my bathroom fan appropriately through the roof. So far so good with my new roof!

I have tried other roofing services and they did a temp fix of putting caulking to stop the leak. It did not work. I called Sonnetag (Tyler) about the issue and Tyler came home and did an inspection and gave me a detailed quote what needs to be done and what will be the cost of it. In the Quote, all the information was very clear. Once I agreed to the quote, They set up a date and came and finished the work in half a day . They also hauled away the stuff they removed. I was really impressed by the professionalism and the tidiness of the work. I have already recommend them to others already.

This company is awesome! I called them on a Wednesday and they thought they'd be out on Friday. They called me back later Wednesday afternoon to indicate that they would be there on Thursday morning. Their work is absolutely professional, top quality materials were used and they cleaned up afterwards so you don't even know they had been there. Couldn't be happier with the quality, speed and price. You won't be disappointed if you use Sonntag Roofing.

Mark Ehlers did a thorough inspection of my roof as well as sealing up a loose shingle that was allowing rain to get underneath during storms. He also went out of his way to remove a wasp nest from a soffit which I very much appreciated. Mark was right on time as well as very knowledgeable and informative about my roofing situation. I would definitely use he and Sonntag Roofing's services again!

Sonntag Roofing and The owner Tyler is are amazing. They provide quality work at an affordable rate! We had been searching for a roofer for a few years. Our dilemma was the garage roof needed to be completely removed, rafters and all. Tyler took care of estimates for both and hired an awesome group from Troy Built Homes to replace the rafters with trusses. They had the old roof from the garage and house completely removed and replaced in a single day! I highly recommend Sonntag- if you're looking for quality and affordability then search no further! Tyler and his team were wonderful from start to finish. I needed a roof on my home as well as a rental I own. I was thoroughly impressed with the products Tyler uses while still coming in at almost the same price as other bids I obtained. The crew was very courteous and worked quite efficiently. We had one small miscommunication during the process and Tyler had it fixed before I could even think twice. I would highly reccommend Sonntag Roofing to anyone needing a roof in central Iowa!

I'm very happy with Sonntag Roofing. I two others come out to look at the roof (only Sontag and one other bothered to go on the roof to have a look). The price given was very fair and the work was done the next day. I'll have to wait until we get a really good downpour to find out if everything is fixed. But I have a feeling that there won't be any issues. And unlike 3 other roofing companies (and other contractors) that I sent messages to through Angie's list. Sonntag actually called me back the same day.

Our roof had two bumps probably as a result of basement lifting. The garage also had a problem with shingles shifting. We got an estimate on Tuesday, with pictures of what was wrong and a reasonable price. They came and did the work on Thursday and Friday - great job! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing roof work. Very professional.

From our first meeting and estimate for our roof shingles to be replaced, to the day of the work being performed, we were glad we decided to choose Tyler to complete the work. Tyler was great with his non pressured presentation at our home. He followed up with us and answered all of our questions. He was responsive to our questions and concerns and even gave us addresses in the area that we could drive to see the different types of shingles we were considering that his company had completed work on. When the work was completed his crew was very polite and friendly and the cleanup was great.
