We had our roof redone and got three quotes. We chose Des Moines Area Roofing because they were certainly lower than the other two quotes AND - Tim went above and beyond in replacing our roof. Such thorough service and even threw in a few extras. No mess afterwards and very happy with the new roof. Since then, Tim has been a great resource to go to when needed for future work! Highly recommended.

Tim at Des Moines Area Roofing worked with me and my insurance company to get my roof replaced in a timely manner. Tim was very helpful with shingle colors and the best shingle for my home. He was very professional and was on time to his appointments with us.

Tim owner of Des Moines Area Roofing was on time to inspect the damage that was done by a hail storm. He gave us an estimate that was the same as 2017. Returned on the scheduled replacement time and the crew did the work in one day. He does what he says he going to do and does it right.

Not only was the work professionally done and done right, Tim is one of the most friendly people I've ever met. I could tell when he first picked up the phone what kind of person he was. We had the skylight in our bathroom replaced. Tim always checks after the work is complete to make sure we are satisfied. His price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this company.

Our roof went out during the large storm over the summer. We had leaks at several areas. I did five bids and Tim came in under most of the others. The work was done in two days.

Tim and his crews came to my home and replaced 2 large roofs and a hugh barn roof for me, they also trimmed all the trees around my property for a very fair price. I would highly recommend then for anyone in the the future!!! They do what they say in a timely and professional manner. I could jot tell other than my beautiful roofs they had ever been here. I had a new electrical service installed and needed the old weatherhead removed and flashing installed around the new conduit and the place where the old conduit was located. When I first contacted Tim, it was right after the major rain storm we had in July and they were booked solid. Tim asked me to be patient and was able to get the job done in mid November. I was determined to wait for Des Moines Area Roofing to do the job as they had installed the roof a few years ago and I was very impressed with the professionalism and job quality. The removal of the conduit and flashing installation was done very quickly. I would definitely recommend Des Moines Area Roofing in the future.

It went very smooth. They were done within two days and did a great job cleaning up. They were recommended to us by a neighbor who was very pleased with the job they did for him. They did the same quality job for us.

Unlike the other estimate we got, Tim, the owner of the company came and met with me in person. I was impressed from the beginning with the clear explanations he gave about what type of roof replacement we needed (we have part shingle and part rubber roof) and why. We'd also had some gutter issues in the past, and he and his gutter expert worked with me to be sure we had chosen the best option. The roof / gutter replacements themselves went off without a hitch. What impressed me most about this company, however, was the excellent follow-up service. We had the bad luck to discover high radon levels in the house shortly after replacing our roof, and Tim went out of his way to consult with the radon mitigation company about the types and installation of the two roof vents their workmen needed to install (one through a shingled part, another through one of the sections of rubber roof). How was an average homeowner like me supposed to know that both vents were initially installed either incorrectly or not in the most recommended way (by the other company)? Tim worked with the other company to get the problems corrected. He did not ask for any further compensation for all the consulting, and the local roofers the other company hired to do the work all agreed with Tim's assessment. Great experience!

Tim was great to work with. Kept me informed of the work time table during a very busy time. He and the crew were there when promised. Tim made improvement suggestions when replacing the original flashing and exceeded code standards when he replaced the ice and water shield. He was very helpful explaining the various shingle options so I could select the best product for my application. He kept in contact with me during the whole process to insure all my questions were answered and to insure I was satisfied with the work. His price was very competitive. Tim knows roofing and his crew knows how to install them. I am a very particular person and even with that even I was impressed. You will be pleased working with Tim and also pleased with the work his crew does.

Very pleased with the work that was done. The trash from the old roof was cleaned to the point that we hardly knew any work had been done. We have and will continue to recommend this company.

Everything went well. Tim was very responsive when contacted and was very eager to get the bid without being overwhelming. The ONLY thing I can find fault is there was a communication mix up on when the work was to be performed. I was not notified that anything changed and when I returned to find work not completed, I was a bit upset. When I contacted Tim, everything was ironed out and proceeded without issue. My only wish was that someone would have kept me in the loop on when the project was to start and notified on the change of the agreed start date.

I was very impressed with this company from they bidding process forward. They explained the job well, quoted a fair price, and completed all the work in one day. I would definitely hire them again.

Overall, this went very well. We were doing preventative maintenance on a 17-year-old roof. We got the quality we expected at the price we wanted, and Tim made sure everything was to our satisfaction at the end. Would definitely hire again. Price was excellent. The quote was lower than anyone else, but we did do some negotiation to get that price (including going in with 2 neighbors as a volume discount). He quoted using the same high-quality materials and crews that other companies did. Quality was excellent. The roof looks great, with ridge vents instead of the old box vents. They even changed a bathroom vent to go vertically per code (no add'l charge). They made sure the roof was protected before they left each night. Some plants did get flattened, and the glass in our back door got scratched, but Tim offered to make it right without any hesitation. The workers were great. They were respectful. They smiled and said hi. And otherwise, they kept to themselves. They cleaned the site up well afterwards. We found a few nails left in the driveway, nowhere else. Timing was... fine. We said our timing was flexible since our old roof wasn't leaking. We received and signed the quote in mid-April. Originally planned for 3-4 weeks out, but the work ultimately took place in mid June. I do think we could have been moved up if we'd needed it. We were originally told 1 day to do it all; it took more like 1.5 days, plus a small break for weather, plus a little time on the third day to reattach vents in the attic. No biggie, but one day did seem rather optimistic. It's what I would expect for a job this size.

We think it went very well. The entire roof was stripped, repaired, and replaced in a day's time. The roofing crew provided protection to all the landscaping greenery adjacent to the home and nothing was damaged which is remarkable in itself. The estimates and the written warranties for materials and workmanship were the best we've ever seen in the business. The owner provided us a number of options to consider for the roof covering and gave us a considerable understanding of the advantages and the disadvantages of each. He suggested and we took the opportunity to view our final shingle selection at his suppliers warehouse, that too was remarkable and much appreciated. He has a hard working and well supervised team that he checks on with regularity to ensure all is going according to plan. The finished product was without a blemish and we could not be more pleased with the end results and how we were treated and promises delivered upon. I did have one concern about his crew not being provided a portable toilet at the work site which I relayed to him for his future consideration. If any of his crew does speak English we were never made aware of that as no one from the large number of crew members ever asked to use our toilet inside the house.

Totally done to our absolute satisfaction in one day, pretty much from sun up to sun down. His crew was pleasant and accomodating, and the owner, Tim, was on site repeatedly during the day, making sure all was going smoothly. When we realized that overhanging trees and branches could be complications, Tim himself did the removal. Cleanup at job's end was perfect, and all debris was hauled away. Definitely will recommend and would use again.

They did an excellent job! They worked hard and fast. Cleaned up nicely and did a nice job. Tim, the owner was on site to make sure things went well. They are coming back soon to do gutter work for us.

This is the second small job I had for Des Moines Area Roofing. I called Tim who is always professional. I told him my handyman found pieces of a plastic collar on the ground. I asked him if he had a crew who could come out and inspect and repair all collars and seals around the collars. He found the time within the next two weeks. As it turned out most of the seals needed attention as did collars. The original roof job was over ten years old and the plastic used had been cracking. He replaced with metal and resealed. After inspection and repair was finished. Other debris from a nearby tree was removed. They were great fast and professional. Since my job was small, some contractors don't want to spend the time on it. Tim has always treated me like a million dollar customer. He says he likes small jobs like mine, he uses these jobs to keep his crews busy for a full day, keeping everyone happy.

The short version of this story is that my wife and I needed a roof put on our house and our experience with Tim and his crew was excellent, we plan to hire him again when our new house needs a roof, which we'll be hiring Tim to give us a timeline on. The long version is that my wife and I had been married less than a month and, upon returning from our honeymoon, noticed some major roof damage on the house she was living in when we got married. I looked at the roof and asked some opinions and decided that we needed a professional inspection because it looked bad, but we couldn't tell how bad. Within a day or so, shingles were laying in our front yard and standing on one side of the house, you should see daylight through a hole, under the peak that was part of the wind damage. After extensive research I called multiple companies to give bids. Tim was in the middle of his busy season and was still able to give us a bid within only a few days of our initial phone call. As part of his estimate, he was able to explain the different warranties offered on roofs, dispel some myths in the industry and pointed out how one of his competitors was trying to get one over on my wife and I. Due to the extensive damage and short life left on the roof, he was able to get us quoted, and the roof installed in very short time frame, which allowed us to save the room under the hole in the roof. He was continually available to answer my new homeowner questions and help my wife and I through the process. His timeliness, attention to detail and customer service were impeccable. I travel extensively for work and was out of town when Tim and his guys started on the roof. I was initially worried about the wife being by herself and us not being able to discuss any decisions that needed to be made on the spot. My fears were quickly put to rest after receiving an update call from Tim and my wife on the condition of the sheeting and underlying structure. All in all this was a painless, process. My wife and I returned from our honeymoon just in time to need a roof on our house and despite the circumstances are supremely satisfied with the quality, service, professionalism and overall experience provided by Tim and his guys @ Des Moines Area Roofing. We will use him again in the future, we just hope to be in the next house a few months before needing his services again.

The entire process was completed in one day, with the team showing up on time and working diligently until the job was done. As part of the quoted job, they added a ridge vent and replaced the plastic box vents with upgraded metal vents. All boots were replaced on sewer and furnace vents. The new shingles are completely straight and parallel. I didn't realize how poor the installation of the previous roof was until I saw the new installation. The new color of shingles completely changed the look of our house. We love it! Go bold on your color selection if you dare. When the team left, our property was probably cleaner than when we arrived. I was impressed by the professionalism and diligence of the crew at every step. It has been five months of hard rains and winter weather since the installation without a hint of leaking anywhere. Top notch work.

The service was great. The crew arrived around 8:30 a.m. and they were done by 4 p.m. Everything was cleaned up and you couldn't even tell anyone had been working. The owner was onsite, explained everything to me, and did follow up after the project was completed. Great service and everything looks great. thank you
