We had interviewed about three different roofing companies to put on a new roof. Tim's bid came in the lowest but that was not why we hired him. The reason why we hired him to replace our roof was that he was more interested in the details of our roof rather then the financial part. What I mean by this is that the other companies talked about how to get our insurance company to come out to our house to pay for the roof. It felt very dishonest. Tim took the time to explain to us exactly what our options were and what they were going to do to ensure that the job was done right. Tim's crew was there on time and his crew was very professional and worked very efficiently. When it comes time for my mother to get a new roof I will highly recommend to her to use Tim and his crew to do the work.

Tim Wolfswinkel and his crew were very easy to work with and professional. TIm was extremely thorough and, exceeded all of our needs and expectations. He paid special attention to every detail and guaranteed us that, we have a quality roof that will last us for a very long time. They were a joy to work with and, the crew left our worksite in better condition than it was before they got there. That is just unheard of these days! I met with Tim when he came to look at our roof and prepare an estimate for the roofing job. He was very thorough and explained that he would be in total control of the job, that no money was due until the job was complete to our satisfaction, and that any questions or concerns should be addressed directly with him. I liked that I would have one contact for the complete job. His bid, while not the lowest, was very competitive, and was significantly lower than the 3rd estimate I got. He also met me at the roofing depot to pick our our shingles. We agreed the job would be done within 4 to 6 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when Tim called saying he could work us in early. Our roof was done within 2 weeks. As Tim promised, our yard was cleaned completely. Our roof looks great. I was very impressed with their work and would definitely recommend them.

They did excellent work, had about 5 guys fixing the bad part of his roof and porch roof, and were done quickly - and they charged him LESS than the quote!!! I was glad they weren't trying to take advantage of an elderly gentleman!!! I will call them when we need roof work!!

Tim and his crew were fantastic from start to finish. They did an expert job on a pretty tricky part of my roof. They were professional in every way. I highly recommend them.

Tim and the boys came out and put a new roof on my house. They got the job done amazingly fast! I read the reviews on here which made me call Tim and boy was I glad I chose him. Once the job was done I walked around my house and didn't find a bit of trash laying around which amazed me. These guys are great!

All that aside, both teams did great work.

DeWit Construction and roofing did a great job on my roof and were there to deal with all issues. Tim was a real pleasure to work with! I contacted Tim after reading his reviews on Angie's list. He responded right away and came out to do an estimate. I told Tim about the issues we we're having with ice dams and leaking around the chimney. He explained how they use the ice and snow guard on all the ridges and valleys and would over compensate around the chimney to make so no water could get through. His estimate was very reasonable and I felt that he would make sure the job was done right. It took us a while to get our ducks in a row because we planned several projects as part of the Neighbor Finance Corppration. Tim followed up with us on a regular basis to see how the process was progressing. When we finally got the loan approved and were scheduling the contractors. Tim was very helpful in making sure we did things in the proper order. He advised us to hold off on getting the driveway replaced until the roofing was completed so that they wouldn't cuase any damage to the driveway when they placed their dumpster or used their crane to lift the shingles. He also wanted to mKe sure that the work on the chimney was completed before he began work on the roof. I had some difficulty getting the masonry guy to provide a firm date he could start work, but Tim said that he would schedule us in within a few days of whenever the chimney was completed. He was true to his word and started work the next Monday. This really helped us out because we could keep the concrete contractors in the loop and get them scheduled right after. Tim was on the scene early on Monday with his crew to get the job started. I have a very steep roof that provided some challenges during the tearoff but they kept at the job until late into the evening. They were back early the next morning to finish the job. I took pictures of the work throughout the day and was pleased with the way they did the job and the quality of the work. They cleaned up after themselves very well and I've only found one nail that was sitting on a window ledge. Tim showed me how they were protecting the chimney to prevent water from getting into the house. There were a few issues with the job. During the tearoff a couple of window screens were damaged. Also, since Tim contracted out the gutter replacement, he couldn't control their schedule as easily as he could with his own crew. I was concerned since we were expecting some heavy rain on Thursday. Tim had his crew over there again on Thursday morning and installed a temporary gutter on the front of the house where we have had problems in the past with water getting in to the basement. They also.laid out some tarps to help with water runoff by the chimney. Tim also offered.us $200 compensation for the window screens and for the inconvience over the gutters. It took a month for the gutter contractor to finish the job. They installed the gutters within a couple of weeks but had to wait another couple weeks to.get the leaf guard in place. Tim insisted all along that we didn' t have to pay anything until the entire job was completed. I even offered to pay for the roof portion after the gutters were installed, but he insisted that we didn't need to do that until everything was done.

Very professional. We have since contacted them again to replace shingles lost in another wind storm. They will also be tacking down our entire roof. Follow up contact was a little slower this time than it was in March, but overall we are very pleased with our experience with DeWit.

Great. Tim knew we were in a hurry and was able to move us up on his schedule do to a cancellation. Roofers showed up on time and completed the work on time. Very friendly and productive workers. Crew leader came back the following week and checked out the work and made a couple of minor adjustments. The work was done on time and on budget and I would recommend using deWit Construction and Roofing.

We had a large branch fall on our garage roof and damaged it. Tim came out the next business day and gave me a quote for the roof repair and it was very fair. Because of his repair quote I ask him to give me an estimate to reroof my house. The quote on our house again was very good so had them reroof our house. His team came out by the end of the week and in one day did a great job repairing our garage roof and reroofing our house. Given their good pricing and work I will be using them in the future for our other home repair and addition projects!!

Boot on our roof was not installed correctly when house was built. After a few hard rains we noticed leaking in our ceiling. Tim was really great to work with. He explained the process and leak issue so I was able to understand. I will definitely call Tim again for any roofing or construction issues. Extremely happy with services provided.

I had a good experience with them. They did a good job. He was able to do it right away. He showed up on time and he got it done right then.

I contacted DeWit roofing and asked for an estimate for repair or replacement. Tim came out...got on the roof and measured everything. He then prepared a very detailed list of everything he thought needed to be done and provided an estimate of the cost for a complete replacement. He was very patient in his explanation of what was involved and was extremely professional throughout. I ended up going with a different contractor but it was really just a coin flip decision. I had dealt with the other contractor before and was happy with their service. DeWit's cost estimate was right in line and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a roofing contractor.

We were very happy with everything from start to finish. Very professional and did an excellent job. The only reason I gave a B in the punctuality was because there was a mistake made at the office and we were not informed that the scheduled day was not going to work out. Being that we were on summer vacation it was not a big deal, but if we had taken the day off, we probably would have been more upset. However the manager we worked with made it right with us, and we appreciated that. Overall, I would give them an A. Excellent work, excellent workers and an amazing finished product. We are very happy.

DeWit was able to accomplish the job very quickly for us. Time was a factor. Tim was very easy to deal with. The roof looks great and the job site was left very clean. There were no unexpected charges. Overall, DeWit did exactly the job they said they would for exactly the price they said they would do it.

For people liking short answers - we are very happy with our experience. I felt I could trust Tim (and by extension, DeWit) with my business. The roof is repaired with no more leaking after many rains and around two months of Iowa's rainest weather. I would use them again. First contact was very good. They were responsive, polite, and professional. Tim came out to the house very quickly (within a day or two) and inspected the roof. He inspected the attic from the inside as well. We discussed my options which were to do a small patch that would probably fix the leak to a larger repair that would guarantee the area would remain trouble-free (explaining the reasons). Tim provided me two estimates right there on the spot. I felt I could trust him and we moved forward. I didn't have any original shingles left but he took one and matched it very well - I can't tell the difference other than the obvious fact that they are new shingles. The work was performed quickly by respectful workers who cleaned up before they left. Tim came back personally to show me the work and ask me what I thought before I paid (never pay for service beforehand). We really liked Tim - he seemed knowledgeable, dedicated and sincere. I felt like it was one person talking to another instead of a salesman/customer.

Tim's hard working crew arrived at 7 AM and completed the job just before dark. We are very pleased with the workmanship and Tim's professionalism. Some years ago we added a family room with a fireplace. Tim discovered that the flashing was done incorrectly on the chimney. He removed the siding, repaired the flashing and replaced the siding at no extra charge. Very impressive. Would high recommend his company.

I got bids from about six different roofing contractors and that was just one of the bids. He was courteous, he was thorough.

Tim answered the phone promptly when I called and we set an appt. for the estimate. On the day of the appt. he called to verify and to ask if he could come a few minutes early. He was kind and very efficient. He honored the Angie's List coupon, and gave me an option of money off or an upgrade on venting. Because it was a small job and I stay home, I readily agreed to allow him to contact me at the "last minute" when his crew had extra time. He called 5 days later and told me they had time if it was OK with me. I should say he called 2 times (cell and land line) and left a text...as I was on the phone when he first called. His persistance was sincerely appreciated. The crew of 4 was prompt, respectful, and fast. Because the ground was soft due to recent rain, they carried their tools and shingles halfway down our 1 acre lot and put the old shingles on tarps. At the end of the project one truck driven by the owner was used to remove all of the old shingles. There was no damage to the lawn. They left additional shingles in case of future damage. Finally, the owner (Tim) sincerely instructed me to call for ANY reason, even if I was not sure if anything was wrong. This was one of the easiest home repair projects I have dealt with. I would definately recall for additional roofing services...(house, garage), and definately recommend this company to others.
