He appears to listen over the phone and promised to cut in the sod to match the level of the existing lawn. I finally had to mark the sprinklers that needed to be removed because he just ignored my directions. I also asked him to shut down a couple of other sprinklers under a deck and he never did that. Then came the sod. His crew laid the sod with no attempt to cut the patch into the existing lawn. There was also not enough sod delivered to repair the damaged area. I complained and he came out and basically said "It was their fault." There was no "they". It was supposed to be his project to repair the lawn. He did send his crew out again with some leftover sod from another project to try to fill in some of the gaps from their first attempt and I had to pay some more for him to make an attempt to cut the sod into the same level after it had been laying there for several weeks. I did manage to get the sod to survive (it looked dead on arrival). The last insult is one of the sprinklers he was supposed to remove is squirting out of the newly sodded lawn. I guess I have to learn how to plug a sprinkler or hire some one else to come over and do it.I suggest any one get a written contract from Greg and a clear price and some sort of satisfaction guarantee and be prepared to make multiple phone calls in hopes of getting the work done right.

Greg Spellman and his company are terrific… we would use them again; have recommended them to others. The only problem we had was an error in identifying the property line, which was a confusing corner in new construction, and as soon as he was notified of the mistake, they were out to re do the line.
Description of Work: Installation of automatic sprinkler system.
