+ -1 moreWhile he started out strong with good work, in the end his work became increasingly sloppy and poor quality. When I called to complain he did not return my call until I wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau with a complaint and also the Woodsmith Shop where he was advertising. He started out punctual and that too soon ended. I hesitated with a poor review on your list as I hate to cost a person jobs, but on the other hand people hiring him are entitled to quality service which I feel we did not receive. I would NEVER hire him again.
Description of Work: A previous company finished the walls in the basement and the taping bulged. We hired Some Assembly Required to repair the mess.

Description of Work: I don't remember when exactly he did the work for us, but I had him install an access hatch for the plumbing behind our bathtub around 11 years ago. He trimmed it out and added a hasp and lock because at the time we had a doddler. Within the past couple of years, he's also added a cat pass-through between our hallway and the stairs to the basement so that we can keep litter boxes in one place and never have to worry about the cats being trapped away from their food and water or litter box. He trimmed it out, and it looks very nice- does exactly what I need it to do. His estimates are right on- no surprises. Would gladly hire him again.

furniture repair
+ -1 moreHe had to order some parts for us. That was supposed to take a couple of days. We waited a week and I then had to call him. I was disappointed that I had to be the one to call him back.
Description of Work: He repaired some furniture that was damaged in our move.
