Description of Work: Our project was challenging, as it included a leaning wall on one side of our tuck-under garage, a garage that needed to be gutted, rewired, as well as reframing garage opening, a new garage door and opener, reframe and replace the door from the garage to the basement, removed the old masonry on each side of the garage (straighten the walls), tear off and replace the 80 year old cement front patio, crumbling soldier steps and several retaining walls, etc. We had multiple remodeling contractors that came to evaluate, give estimates, etc. Over a two year period, we had bids that ranged from $25,000 to $110,000. We actually hired one company, but they never showed up again to seal the deal. Finally we met with Tyson at Silent Rivers. He was punctual and professional and came back with a plan that would include partnering with a landscape architect (GreenBean). Together, they rebuilt the retaining walls and planters in gorgeous limestone, laid pavers on the patio surface, rebuilt beautiful new steps up to the house, had the original ironwork around the patio refurbished and reinstalled, gutted and rewired the garage, reframed the opening and installed a beautiful garage door and opener. drywalled the ceiling, reframed and replace the door between to the basement, tore off the old crumbling masonry on each side of the garage door and replaced it with limestone to match the new retaining walls, etc. We could not be happier with the results. Our home has been transformed visually and functionally. And we now have a functional garage that we can actually use this winter! We strongly recommend Silent River.
