+ -1 moreThis company is wonderful. Kurt Paulsen listened to what we wanted and made excellent suggestions. All the workman were very professional and did superb work. The job was done in a timely manner and we were not inconvenienced at all. There were no surprises. It was beyond our expectations. Kurt checked came over on a regular basis to make sure the work was progressing as planned. The wood floors look beautiful. Our walls are like new. The rooms are better now than they were before our water damage. We have used this company twice and been very pleased both times.
Description of Work: We had an upstairs bathroom pipe burst while we were on vacation resulting in water damage on the 2nd floor, 1st floor, and basement. Dean Paulsen & Sons repaired the wood floor in the upstairs hall, laid new flooring in the 2nd floor bathroom, repaired walls in the 2nd floor bathroom, refinished the 1st floor wood floors, repaired and painted the first floor walls, and made repairs in the basement.

+ -1 moreThe project went extremely smoothly. There were no surprises. Everything was done and performed as promised. Minor glitches and there weren't many were corrected rapidly. Items that needed to be corrected a year after the fact and once again there weren't many were taken care of very responsibly and quickly at no additional cost and with little if any prodding. The final product the new deck is built to a standard that far exceeds code. It is solid, and far superior to the deck that it replaced and is physically much more attractive. Kurt Paulsen and his staff are exceptionally fine individuals and a pleasure to work and do business with.
Description of Work: Dean Paulsen and Co. removed and replaced an entire wrap around mammoth size deck on the entire west side and on half of the south side of our home. It was a major project that lasted approximately five weeks. All work went as planned and exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, workmanship, attention to detail, flexibility to our requests and pleasantness of both foremen and line workers.

home remodeling
+ -1 moreWe had a problem with a shower that was leaking from the second to the first floor. There was a very tiny hole in the pan of the shower and they fixed it. We needed to have the ceiling done from the entry to the living room. They also did the plumbing work to fix everything. He even remodeled our kitchen back in 1979 which made our kitchen very usable.
Description of Work: We've had him do some remodeling for us and he was very good. This was in the late 70's and 80's. But he's still part of the company.
