Jack Amble showed up and did the inspection prior to me showing up. The time he told me to show up was perfect because it allowed him to get through the whole house, write up his report, and then do a walk through with me to explain all of the issues that he found. The home inspection was great and covered everything I wanted. Furthermore, he answered every question that I had. Being a first time home buyer, he helped me immensely because I didn't know what exactly to look for. The reason I would suggest him is because the furnace in the house was in bad condition and he noticed it, BUT he acknowledged that this isn't his area of expertise and suggested that I get a professional to look at it. IF he hadn't done this, I wouldn't have figured out that the heat exchanged was broken and would have likely costed me $3000+ in expenses to fix. His prices are fair, He is very personable and prompt, and he provides a very thorough document (42 pages for me) that outlines everything that is a trouble area (WITH PICTURES). Highly recommend.

His years of construction experience were of great benefit. At the time of the appointment, we walked through the property and discussed the various issues that he had identified. He was more than welling to offer advice and suggestions when asked for his opinion which was also a big help.
