Description of Work: I have a retaining wall installed. Unfortunately, I was replacing a retaining wall put in by another provider 3 years ago which did not last at all. This wall was constructed very well. They did everything right during the install, including proper drainage behind the wall, digging deep enough so that frost would be less of an issue, stacking correctly and using devices or adhesive to hold the bricks together. The wall also had a curve to it, and they were able to recreate the curve but cutting blocks to fit. They were also able to install the wall in one, very long day, and the work was fantastic.

 + -1 moreI called for a proposal to fix up my yard, front and back. The receptionist took my information and said Mr. Massman would call back. A week or so later, when I still hadn't heard from him, I called again, and the same lady remembered me and made a point of apologizing, saying she would flag my message so he'd call me back right away. I was impressed with the web site and was envisioning what they could do for my yard, but I guess I will never find out. Either there was some important emergency over there, or I am not considered a big enough potential client. Either way, I would have a appreciated some sort of response. I finally got a return call after this review posted. Coincidence? A knowledgeable young man came to my home and we discussed what I wanted done. He said he'd get back to me with a plan and a proposal. After about six weeks, I left several voice messages (no receptionist at this point), and the same young man finally called me and made an appointment to show up with the plan and proposal the next Monday at 1:00 PM. He never showed. I blew the afternoon waiting, and now I am convinced I will not consider hiring this company.

 + -1 moreThey are very professional. They did our original landscaping and this visit was a followup and fall cleanup. They replaced some plants at their cost that had died. They are the best in Cedar Rapids in my opinion. They will not be the cheapest but they will be the best, and thus the best VALUE.
